I flashed one of Scott's first stable TP ROMS on 12/26/2008. Shortly afterwards I added Bored's GPS fix. I disable Touch Flo and run the latest SPB Mobile Shell. Everything is working very nicely. After flashing I need about 4 hours to install all my apps so I don't upgrade unless I'm pretty sure its going to be smoother, faster, etc. My GPS locks in 10 seconds - am I one of the lucky ones?
 . The whole kitchen approach scares me a bit, back on my PPC-6700 I once managed to create a frankenrom that locked up at the worst times. I have 2 questions: 1. Should I bother upgrading at all. 2. If so, can anyone recommend a super clean ROM with VC, bored's GPS, latest Opera (don't know why I ask that as mini is my default browser). Perhaps I shouldn't worry about using the kitchen as long as I keep it simple? Thanks |
