Yeah, the one with the curtains over the buttons is from the HD rip, I think. I like the one without the curtains, which you can enable by installing the new leaked radio (ver 1.11f) from here... and the Juggalo_X S2A phonecanvas from here (black) or here (white).

I don't understand what a radio has to do with a S2A function??? Can you explain?

I edited the posted you replied to above. I don't get any S2A function, just the curtain.

The phonecanvas is how the dialer looks and acts when you get a call, you are in a call or when you end a call. Go to settings\system\device information and check which version of the radio that you have. Please post the answer and I will get you screenshots of my S2A with the cabs that I posted previously.

I have the stock v1.03.03, whatever radio that came with the phone.

Again, I still don't get what the radio has to do with the phonecanvas, dialer/curtain, or S2A.

Here's another funny thing. With S2U2 S2A disabled, I am relying on the function of the S2A only. I tested the functionality of it:

Test 1: Called my phone. No S2A, but when I answered the call the curtain came up over the dialer.

Test 2: Reinstalled S2A from the SSK folder in My Documents. It removed the old and installed the new. After phone rebooted, made a call. S2A did come up but was non-functional. After about 3 seconds, the standard answer/end phone buttons showed up and answered the call. Again the curtain was there.

I think I actually cooked S2A in the kitchen, so I don't know if that inhibits the "remove" procedure and it was all just cosmetic at that point.

I also think I'm starting to lean towards what others are saying, leaving all S2U2 and S2A apps out of the kitchen install and take care of them after. =)

What do you think?

So now what? LOL

Re: *21 Feb* UPD 15: SSK 1.5M *8* OS Kitchen inc WM6.5 Build 21159 and OS 21015 ROM -

LOL.

First, the easy stuff. I only keep .NET CF and stuff like that in the kitchen, everything else I do with the UC. UC lets me install about 15 apps, copy ringtones over from my sd card, replaces my S2U2 settings via a registry edit, etc. So for me, keep the kitchen simple.

As for the radio, the 1.11.00F version is what allows you to have the S2A capabilities. Don't ask me why, I don't work for HTC I just know that is the fact and I deal with it. There are other benfits of the new radio as well, including better overall performance and less of the "heat" issues that people comment about with their TPs.

You can flash the radio and you will not lose anything on your TP, it is not the same as flashing a rom and starting over. Though I did just notice that you are on VZW and the radio is a Sprint radio. I know that I have read that it still works, but I wanted to point that out before you do it, in case you have any problems.
This post has been thanked 1 times.

BTW, here is what the S2A looks like on mine (edited out the name and most of # for obvious reasons):

LOL ok, that explains a lot. Thanks for the info on the radio. So basically, unless I upgrade the radio, which I have and know how to do, the S2A feature won't work BUT, S2U2 S2A will. =) Simple enough.

Now, here's the big question. Where do I get JUST the curtain CAB installer?

I'd like to just use S2U2 S2A and still get the curtain without installing the entire S2A app.

Also, I'm leaning towards using SASHAMI to do all my phone installs.

I don't know about getting the curtain installer, not even sure if it exeists by itself. Sorry I couldn't help you flush it out more... good luck with whatever route you decide to go.

Also, I agree that Sashami is good, I just know more about UC and can make my own cabs so reg edits and the like are easy enough.

Back to this question...

Is it better to cook .Net 3.5 in the kitchen or install afterwards?

Also... Is .Net 2.0 default in WM6.1 now?

My S2A works fine with stock radio v1.0.3.15F. All I did was installing the S2A phonecanvas.
