Re: *21 Feb* UPD 15: SSK 1.5M *8* OS Kitchen inc WM6.5 Build 21159 and OS 21015 ROM -
Just a quick update on 21015. I flashed nearly two weeks ago, when C2 just came out. It has been fast, and extremely stable. I left S2U2 and Opera out of the ROM and installed them with UC because those apps change frequently. used the 21015 OS & XIP pair.

I've flashed the R4R, and can't seem to connect to activesync anymore(usb). VZNAV also crashes.. Other than that been working great.
There is one wierdness though.... could select multipe items in file explorer, with the new rom I cannot. Any suggestions? |

and uncheck "enable fast data synchronization" or "advanced network options" (basically that box under activesync) and soft reset. try again to see if you can connect to activesync. |

guys, so i'm running build 21018 cooked with kitchen rev C2 for almost a week now and all is well except for some intermittent exchange server problem (basically wouldn't push the mails) and a mysterious memory leak problem.
the culprit seemed to be the "activesync fast data synchronization" option under "settings" -> "connections" -> "usb to pc". after unchecking it and rebooting, i was able to reclaim 15MB of ram! and the exchange server decided to behave again. just want to put it out there to see if anyone understood why... ![]() |

What makes you think that I would know the answer? I'm just a wise-@ss engineer. I don't even use an Exchange Server. But interesting discussion going on because 1 suggested technique to keep ActiveSync from always coming on is to create a "dummy" server, and set the scheduling to Manual. Wonder how doing that would tie into this discussion about memory leaks.

i just realized unchecking "faster data sync" means switching back to the old direct usb connection with activesync... |
