You can use either Scott or Bored's kitchen. Both are very well set-up and easy to use. 10 sec lock sounds about right. Anything Scott or Bored have done are pretty stable except the obvious TP2. Once you start flashing you can add the same apps back to your phone much quicker...

Anyone have any idea how to add cities to the weather tab? I have done some searches, and even installed some the Weather cabs but no avail.

Can someone/anyone point me in the right direction?

After flashing I need about 4 hours to install all my apps so I don't upgrade unless I'm pretty sure its going to be smoother, faster, etc. My GPS locks in 10 seconds - am I one of the lucky ones? :) . The whole kitchen approach scares me a bit, back on my PPC-6700 I once managed to create a frankenrom that locked up at the worst times.

I have 2 questions: 1. Should I bother upgrading at all. 2. If so, can anyone recommend a super clean ROM with VC, bored's GPS, latest Opera (don't know why I ask that as mini is my default browser).

Perhaps I shouldn't worry about using the kitchen as long as I keep it simple?

Thanks

I flash to flash period. I approach this as a learning experience, and the never-ending pursuit for perfection. Obviously you are happy with what you have, you got it the way you want it, why even bother changing?

So the water level is dropping along the red river but they are now getting some insane amount of snow? Poor Scott.

Has anyone heard from him?

Hey you bunch of psychotic flashers, I IM'd Scott today, and all is well. His house is dry, the dikes are holding despite stupid drunk drivers.

Scott appeared to be in good spirits, and is planning on re-arranging his house (bringing everything back down stairs). He will be able to get back online when he is done with that.

Awesome news.

Did Scott mention anything about the snow they are expecting and if it will effect the area he is in?

he didn't mention the snow, but I did see on the news that the temp is supposed to be below freezing until at least Thursday. Snow isn't such a bad thing, 8 inches of snow = less than 1 inch of rain. It also is a time released liquid. If it melted all at once, it would be bad.
