I used that keyboard although its not the same issue, flashed again with the 21038 hodgepodge without running UC and tested the slide out keyboard, it was fine. Running UC now to see if there is a change. I'll follow through and flash with 21042 again in a bit.

Sounds good, I jsut started ripping stuff out of the rom till it became stable to me and it seemed that that was what finally did it. If that solves it for you I can stop hunting...

You better stop hunting, I think I've narrowed it down to 21042, and just the slide out keyboard, not the onscreen keyboard. My phone, and many others seem to be prone to poor keyboard performance. I've about every post imaginable regarding the slide out keyboard.

Sliding the keyboard will nto cause a freeze. It has to be somthing elese. Does it do this on a ROM that I cook with NO customizations?

If so you have defective hardware. I can assure that my keyboard is 100% functional. I tested it ;c)

Prove it video tape yourself sliding the keyboard to see if it works while holding todays newspaper while lifting one leg and singing an american idol song with a canadian accent. Then we will believe you.

I already have that video, I sent it to HTC and Verizon. They still don't believe me. There is a thread dedicated in this forum to keyboard failure. One Sprint tech says the problem exists below the space key, a ribbon connector that may need to be reset.

I found the modified TF3D config cab. The question is do I need to re-flash and take out the non-working version? Do I even need this program?
