Re: GC's Touch Pro ROMs & Kitchen 2.1.4

So does Verizon aGPS work with this kitchen? Do I need an updated version of QPST to run the Titan aGPS wiki? Thanks.

Verizon - Using a custom ROM, all MMS messages have incorrect time

Re: GC's Touch Pro ROMs & Kitchen 2.1.4

I get faster indoor GPS locks (5-10 seconds, even after hard reset) in Garmin Mobile XT, Google Maps, and VisualGPSce, with more initial satellites available, if I use these settings before opening the GPS for the first time:

HKLM\Software\HTC\SUPL AGPS\
GPSMode = 4
EnableAGPS = 1
EnablePDEIPFromNV = 1
Also, I've noticed that the data arrows above the title-bar signal-strength icon are much more active in GPSMode 4.

I am guessing that GPSMode 4 is assisted and 2 is mobile stations. (But no bets that this is correct.)

Thanks, found build 301 no problem and set up the aGPS settings. However, I don't think aGPS is working.

On my Titan, if the data connection wasn't active and I selected Use GPS, it would immediately initiate a connection and get the aGPS info and lock instantly.

On my TP, the data connection is inactive, i select Use GPS, and nothing happens to the data connection. Still takes about 20 secs to lock

Just curious, how did you know to enter those particular registry keys? I had the HKLM\Software\HTC\SUPL AGPS\ on my recent flash of Bored's clean 1.3-21018, but there weren't any entries in there. I'm your reg settings a try right now.

Cheers,

Re: GC's Touch Pro ROMs & Kitchen 2.1.4

Wow...GC cannot believe I found you...I'm a family man do not get time to search much when kids are home...(you might see an email & pm from me on xda)

GC and others who can answer...

Company will change out my phone soon from a Verizon 6800 to the Verizon Touch Pro. I am use to the 6800 my first & only HTC phone so when I get the TP I want to use your ROM:

1. A-Key: Do I still have to get a new A-Key after I add the spl & your ROM as I did with the 6800 starting with a new TP?

2. I travel and use TomTom 7 (TT7) on the 6800: You did an excellent job on xda to fix the gps which is a big aid to my job.
-2a Can I use TT7 on this device
-2b What does it take to get GPS working with YOUR Rom on the TP?

3. When running the kitchen build it runs with no error but I cannot find the image file? What am I doing wrong?

Appreiate any help fam seeing that I am moving home from xda to here with GC & others...

Simple questions & I will read/learn as I go...so show a lil luv...

TIA

Re: GC's Touch Pro ROMs & Kitchen 2.1.4

No a-key normally just the normal unlocking of your device and then flash a rom & radio of your choice. You may need to do OTA via *228 option 1 but that's it. As far as GPS goes it works with most software but if you have a Verizon Touch Pro you will need to apply the fix that is linked in my signature block. Other carriers need no apply the fix only Verizon and only on the Verizon version of the Touch Pro.
