tapres.dll is the dll that configures these settings. It did indeed change with the latest sys. Not sure what is causing this problem. I see it too.

If I dropped in another tapres.dll from another kitchen with same sys, would that cause any issues?

I am using a rom I built with Calkulin's Kitchen 1.3.1 and I am having ring tone problems also. I get an error saying the ring tone is corrupted, etc. Of course it is not because I can play it with WMP. If I am lucky the ring tone will default to the windows one, if not it will not sound at all. I wonder if there is something similar between the two builds causing this.

Prior to this ROM, and for awhile now, I've been using Calcu's kitchen and never had that problem. And as far as Scott's ROM here in this thread, this is just a minor glitch, I don't get any errors so to speak. But also, this thread is about SSK 1.4, so for those searching for answers like myself, let's keep it there please.

My build is from eRice.... eRice says his is from Caulkins... so... Yeah... Hmmm.

Any thouhgts on a work around or fix?

woudl changing the ringtone plug in fix this. Newer package from Conflipper?

I'll have to play around with it now that is been greatly narrowed.

I played around with it forever... couldn't figure it out although it is within the sys somewhere.

My OEM + 21109 = Ringtone Issues
SAME OEM + 20764 = No Ringtone Issues

Now to figure out why
