I use TouchPal with T+ 99% of the time in my TP. I have always used SIP Change (with a 40 second delay) to set TP as the default KB in the past & it's always worked super.

For me that seems to come up if i choose the "Keyboard" option (Shown Below) ... normally i use "Full QWERTY"

Which ROM did you install, or did you use the kitchen?

"Full QWERTY" will not be available if you cooked your own and did not add the HTC Keyboard.

I believe Scott's choice ROM also does not have any other keyboard installed but the standard winmo with the skin shown above.

That's why i asked him which ROM he installed... if "Choice" or if he cooked his own without HTC Keyboard... well that would be my guess.

The keyboard shown above is the standard Microsoft WM6 SIP keyboard. The nicer looking compact QWERTY and full QWERTY come with the HTC Keyboard option in the kitchen. You also get stuck with the switcher app that sucks up 1.6MB of your memory doing nothing. It is possible to disable the app and default the keyboard to the HTC full QWERTY - you get the nicer keyboard and keep the memory, but you lose the switcher capability (and for some reason it jacks up the font - but I can live with it).

Here's a fun boot splash screen for anyone interested. Use your favorite ROM Updater to install the attached .NBH file. You DO NOT have to hard reset after installing this, and it changes nothing other than the boot splash (what you see immediately when pressing the power button).
