It didn't change my volume icon, but it did change the font for not only the two buttons, but also the keyboard. If anyone else is having this issue (I assume it's not just some freak bug that only I got), I am attaching a font file in the zip below that should fix the issue. All you need to do is move it into \Windows with a program like Total Commander (it's a system file, so you won't be able to do it with regular File Explorer) and then reset your phone.

This fix worked for me. I just incorporated it into my sdconfig.txt file using the CPY1: and CPY2: commands. Worked like a charm

I have a hunch about the whole volume control issue that everyone is experiencing and am currently testing that.

But the vol control issue was fixed with the fix patch
