Mike, congrats on the new release. All is working well for me so far. I knew that since I would be upgrading to the TP2 once its released, that I would probably be donating my original TP to a friend or family member, and was eagerly anticipating a Final release before I could do so. And now, here we are! The TP1 journey with you and my fellow geekers has been fun; but now it's on to bigger and better(relatively speaking, of course) things! All we need now is an HardSPL, so we can be decked out with MightyROM on the TP2 as well! Im ready! |

Re: MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com [Windows Phone® 6.5] [Final]
I was getting GPS errors. It would find the GPS lock pretty fast - 5,6 satellites within 10 seconds, but after 30 seconds it would lose signal, and occasionally it would freeze.
I flashed a different radio and the problem hasnt been back. I went from the popular telus radio to the new sprint one. |

Second, the first time you run it you will get an error. Thats normal. It should give you the error then ask you what folder cdigiclock is installed to. You need to manually select the folder /programs/cdigiclock and press ok. It should work fine after that. Also reboot afterwards also.

MR6 Final Not Quite Complete
Quote:
Anyone who uses a phone while driving should only use it hands free with a BT headset or wired headset. Also, I presume the HTC BT patch was not included either? MM, I think we need an alternative update to the MR6 final. The 4 column Start Menu did not slow my phone down perceptibly, so maybe a cab to change it back is out there. But I would still like a ROM with it cooked in. Sometimes less is really less. A great effort marred by its omissions. Last edited by maxnix; 09-07-2009 at 11:22 AM. |

Re: MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com [Windows Phone® 6.5] [Final]
In theory I don't mind omissions if there is some sort of rationale and it is easy to replace the functionality. Problem is, I've found it's not always easy to replace. Oh sure, there are cabs that should fix the problem, but often times with these WinMo phones there are literally a dozen or more versions of something that may or may not work with your setup. I had a really bad experience when MM decided to strip EZInput from his ROMs. Cooking something basic like a good software keyboard or MSVC just seems like a requirement to me.
So provided MSVC is really only in 1 version and it's just a cab install, then I don't care much that it was omitted. On the other hand if there's 15 different releases, it's a nightmare to find the right one. Meanwhile MSVC always performed on the stock ROM and previous MM roms so I'd be asking myself the whole time why it was removed in the first place. My 2 cents... |
