who knows if it will be tonight!! Usually Mighty lets everyone know ahead of time or at least a couple of hours before the release. Hard Reset only after you flash your New ROM.

just after.. you flash the ROM then after you finish the 1st set up, you do a hard reset.

i prefer sprite backup it makes a virtual clone of your phone everything, and theyre having a sale which includes sprite backup and sprite terminator for around 29 dollars a good investment in my opinion
