-Mail or some sort of sync seems to cue that for me too. Do you have anything that syncs or runs on interval? or is it random?

it's random. after I close it out it starts back after a few minutes. I guess it's supposed to be the task manager but i can't stop it from popping up

Hey Calk,

ETA on the new Kitchen??? I'm freaking out lol.

I tried using the kitchen but when I select 6.5 I got 6.1. Tried it again. Selected 6.5, got 6.5.1. Am I just retarded and don't know what the hell I'm doing? I like the looks of the 6.5.1 ROM but it's still messed up.

If you want a 6.5 Rom you need to select 21869 for SYS & XIP. EXT is only your extra addons like dialers, apps, etc. it has nothing to do with the actual SYS build.

EDIT 2: rom built successfully but is running a lil slow, it isnt the pp nor anything like that, i just think it needs to be cleaned up! also, when you are in settings, any kind such as sound settings, or the about....you know how the menus in 6.5.1 have changed, that you no longer have tabs in the bottom, that now you have the arrows and you just slide your finger to the left and will slide to the next page? well it only has the arrows on top and does not tell you the name of the tab/page...stuff like that. cant post a screen shot because it freezes alot, so im gonna build a rom with another build and flash again, wait until calk posts his new kitchen

It's a problem with the tsk. To fix it...

Delete everything in this folder:
SYS\23502\dpi_192_resh_480_resv_640\0409\Base_Lang _0409_DPI_192_RESH_480_RESV_640

and replace it with everything from:
SYS\23071\DPI_192_RESH_480_RESV_640\0409\Base_Lang _0409_DPI_192_RESH_480_RESV_640


Then, take all the abb_*.png files in SYS\23071\DPI_192\COMMON\Base_DPI_192
and copy them to
SYS\23502\DPI_192\COMMON\Base_DPI_192

And of course, re-cook. I think that's all the files, let me know how it goes. Saying we don't need to put any of Calk's files in the SYS is an understatemnt.

for those of you who want TellMe...

Make sure you include Voice Command as well when you build. I modified the dll images so the backgrounds fill the screen. The original cab, found on this site somewhere, was made for a 240x320 device, I scaled the backgrounds to fit our device and made an EXT package out of it....

I'm not 100% sure but I thought the PP was set to 0 (auto) in the last few ROMs. My current ROM is the V 4.2 beta that Calkulin released on 10/26 or thereabouts and I think I check it and saw 0 for pp before I flashed it. I left it at zero. Prior ROMs I've changed to 32 and before that 24.

Calkulin told me he set the pagepool to 0 (Zero) for 6.5 and above ROM's as they can dynamically allocate the pagepool based on system needs. That is what was causing my builds to be just a bit slower than his. You don't have to wait till you flash to set pagepool you can do it while cooking for those that didn't know. Click on "OTHER" in the menu on the left and change it there before cooking.

is anyone else having issues with the text messaging freezing up? a lot of the times when i close my text window the screen turns black and freezes like that for like 5 mins or until i reset my phone. its annoying as hell does anyone kno why?
