When you go into the menu it says:

Enable the "X" button to end running programs (with checkbox)
End Programs by tapping "X" (with radiobutton)
End Programs by tapping and holding "X" (with radiobutton)

Are you saying that none of these options work when checked?

That is the HTC Task Manager, which works on builds with the X in the upper right corner.

Some people have reported success with using it on 23000+ builds by tapping where the X would be in the upper right.

I just checked task manager...looks like the "X" is closing it...the exe is no longer running after tapping it...unless there is something I'm missing...

MSXIPKernel is in ROM folder, "shared" among devices (device independent), build specific; OEMXIPKernel is in ROM folder, device specific and build specific, and thus needs to be copied from an existing/older build folder in the Touch Pro (or whatever your device folder is named) to a new folder named 23502.

Hello! I switched from EnergyROM to Calkulin's Touch Pro 21869 ROM (v4.1) last night. I am having the same issue with both these ROMs. The ROM seems to work perfectly till some random error message shows up (literally random - pops up when I wake the phone up) on the screen. Then the phone stops responding. The only way out is to soft reset. However, the phone generally doesn't boot after the soft reset. It remains stuck on the "Touch" splash screen and then has to be hard reset. Occassionally, it boots after the soft reset but automatically goes through the initial setup almost like it had been hard reset. I have no idea why. Today I wasn't doing anything with it. I haven't installed any sofware or touched the registry. I don't know if it matters but I am using the Sprint 1.12.34F Sprint radio. WM6.5 is awesome but these frequent and automatic hard resets are annoying. Any help will be appreciated.

EDIT: one question though...is this exactly the same as calk would have a build or are there things that calk does to modify it? i was noticing for example, that his flamerise.tsk file was in a certain folder...if i dont put it where he had it, will it show up in the rom?

EDIT 2: rom built successfully but is running a lil slow, it isnt the pp nor anything like that, i just think it needs to be cleaned up! also, when you are in settings, any kind such as sound settings, or the about....you know how the menus in 6.5.1 have changed, that you no longer have tabs in the bottom, that now you have the arrows and you just slide your finger to the left and will slide to the next page? well it only has the arrows on top and does not tell you the name of the tab/page...stuff like that. cant post a screen shot because it freezes alot, so im gonna build a rom with another build and flash again, wait until calk posts his new kitchen

I was doing some checking and when I start the Youtube app, it pops up with the memory error saying essentially "device low on memory. Do you want to stop some running programs now"...if you hit yes, it will open task manager. The problem is...theres nothing listed in the task manager to stop....because nothing is running....what is constantly eating up my memory?

Also, anyone got HTC Album + Social Networking (for uploading to facebook and youtube) working on this ROM (23071)? I was going to try it but I wanted to make sure it works (or at least that someone confirmed it worked) with this ROM. I think there's already some album editing that's been done in this ROM since the images are much smoother scrolling with a "continuous" feel. So I'm wondering if installing this will damage the existing album...or mess up the existing effects which I love.

Your pagepool!
On a VZW phone never go above 12 for Pagepool and with these later roms you should really use 8.

Use the pagepool changer in the release raphael folder to change the PP of the nbh file then reflash.

the effects u see r from album 3.0. you are looking for album 2.5. thats not installed in his rom but you have the package for it in the kitchen. However, when using album 2.5, you cannot keep the effects or the speed.

Uh oh...someone didn't read the last couple of pages...pagepool's been set at 8 already...that's the whole point. I need a way to adjust for the memory issue other than that because that isn't working.

So there's no way to get the upload features and the new effects then. Hmm...
