I'm using calks built rom 23064 and i have S2U2-1.62-VGA, arcsoft and galarm 1[1].5.1 installed only... i've always installed these three apps and have never had a problem before until recently... so the problem is that galarm does not sound. if i look at my phone when my alarm is about to go on it will be lit up at the s2u2 screen and frozen, i will slide it and it will be blank and i have to reset my phone... then when my phone resets and load the alarm will go off sometimes, depending how quickly i reset. if my phone is on and i do a test alarm and dont let s2u2 take over (basically i keep the phone awake) my alarm will go off fine... this would make me think there is something happening with s2u2, but its always been fine before. i tried klaxon and had issues as well. and the default windows alarm will make a sound for a 1/2 second... it wont play a whole alarm tune so it wont even wake me up 90% of the time... please help!

p.s. i've cleared storage to hard reset 2 times when flashing new rom, hard reset before new flash and after, and flashed this rom 2 seperate times...
OK if this was answered already, sorry. I rely heavily on the Alarms hence G-Alarm so this is a major issue with me. I have narcolepsey and my alarm MUST work (all 7 or 8 of them LOL) I also have to have my reminder alert set to "on" for my job. I encountered the same problem as you. 1/2 reminder alert and no alarm.

I am not sure if you did this but if you open the alarm settings from inside the Start Menu - Alarms (not by clicking on the home clock or world clock), there is an option to change the alarm sound which oddly enough is set to "No Sound" by default. I have found that if you set all three system alarms to some sound and reset, then open G-Alarm and create your alarms it will work right. This worked with and without the G-Alarm Worldclock binder for me. I usually take the World Clock out of my builds as it is so easy to change the time when you hit that large clock. You may need to go back into the system alarms the same way as before and turn off Alarms 2 and 3 (not the sounds, just turn off the alarm itself but be careful not the turn off the first one which is used by G-Alarm) or you will have duplicate alarms going off all the time. Oh and I like S2U2 also but if I don't do the above, it will crash if an alarm sounds. Otherwise it seems to work fine if I do the above trick.

I hope this helps you!!

Funny, I was comtemplating that. My friend has one with extra bells and whistles for $150. Extra batts, Desk Cradle/charger, Cool adapters etc....Only problem is what do I do when I want to change phones. I'll have to relearn new flashing. This is worse than crack!!!!!

Thanks
Depends on a number of things but 16MB has been pretty balanced for me.
I've tried tweaking it 8MB (+/-) but beyond that It seems to just negatively impact battery life again. Good Luck.

In my personal view though, i've tried several 6.5.1 roms over a 3-4 day period, and this rom does drain much faster than others. It's not the TP, because we all know it doesn't have a great battery life, but certain roms squeeze a bit more out than others.
Ok here is my $.02, every ROM is different as is every user and their battery usage. Since the TP has know overheat and battery drain issues, you will need to tweak accordingly. Some of it you can't change but for those things you can, you will have to try a combo of tweaks. I have seen over and over that my battery responds differently on the same rom depending on the tweaks vs apps used. In other words, certain batt tweaks work better for cert app usage. I think it is just a balancing act for each user because Johns great battery tweak isn't necessisarily Sallys Search the forums and read the reviews.

interesting... thanks for the response... in galarm i changed the setting to choose randomly from 3 different alarm tones and my alarm sounded this morning and it had also sounded during 3 test alarms done yesterday... weird thing was, it was always the same tone... i dont know if what i did, is partly what you do by changing the default alarms 2 and 3 but i will try ur trick also

I would be interested to know if you stock alarm settings have "No Sound" and if they don't if the setting matches one of your random alarms. Even further if the one in the stock alarm setting might be the one alarm that keeps sounding. I ask because I also had this issue but I thought I was mostly from tinkering. Your fix sounds easier but I think I am going to back up the reg setting for my stock alarms so every time I flash the "No Sound" will be changed, JUST IN CASE. My BOSS hates calling me to wake me up when my alarm(s) fail LOL. Oh and BTW, who the heck decided "No Sound" should be a default for the Alarm? You can always uncheck the sound even on vibrate option. Go Figure.

Has anyone toyed with the idea of adding grooveshark to the kitchen? I just figured I would ask before I started messing with it myself.

Does anyone know if it works with 6.5.1?

Thanks
Dave
