3/17/09 Conflippers Touch Pro ROM (5.2.21032 Build 21032) UC - Page 12

Con, this is a great ROM! I previously stated that I was content with the speed of the stock TP, but I guess I am a speed freak too! This thing rocks! You have great taste in loading the perfect programs! I just flashed last night and I have been through MANY roms with the 6900, have good knowledge of flashing (trial and error) but am not at the point where I can cook my own, so hats off to you. I will run the ROM through the paces and will let you know if I run in to any issues. Mainly, I just wanted to say thanks! (yes I pressed the button for those that are jumpy with my N00b clasification)

I am using the following ROM: Conflippers_Touch_Pro-12-23-08.exe and attempted to use Shadow-tech's Alltel AGPS QPST but the phone was not recognized during the service programming section. I was able to read the phone, but not write back to the phone. Shadow-tech's stuff worked fairly consistently on the VOGUE with several different ROMS, so I was not sure if new drivers were needed for the QPST application. But than again... in reading through the forum, it appears that this may be irrelevant because AGPS does not work with this phone????

i have no work until friday, so i will have time. time to get to work on this. this is what i am thinking so far.

I read the same article, and i am not sure, i think that pretains more or less to GSM phones. If you notice quickGPS, that is actually agps, it downloads your locations settings while you have an internet connection. and so it will download that, and then pass that along to a gps program once your load it up.

I believe this is the way that it works. I could be wrong though.

Which version of touch pro rom is the most recent build? went to the link but could not make heads or tails of it. Assuming the Touch Pro 12-23 not the Alltel touch pro test?

his 12-23 is his latest. He's thrown up a few cabs, opera builds, played with a few other CE builds, and other fixes for a few things, and updated a few posts before this to let people know what's coming out in his new ROM later on. But the 12-23 is his latest for now....

The QPST version I originally used from Shadow-tech did not recognize the TP, I followed the link provided by Con and was able to program the IP settings =)
