Re: [01-16-09] Juggalo TP ROM v0.08B Telus & Sprint [OS 5.2.19972 Build 19972] [UC]

LOL. Seriously. everyone I know texts, it is annoying. They ignore your call then text you 30 sec later...

I just flashed a WM6.5 ROM and if it was not for the slow menu and lack of a good update I would have stuck with it...it is close to being a decent ROM

in google maps should i also make com4 or just leave as managed by windows...?
yes COM4 is the standard.....I have never had a problem with google maps as far as settings...if it works leave it as is...I have never even checked those settings....Livesearch automatically defaults to the intermediate...

Re: [01-16-09] Juggalo TP ROM v0.08B Telus & Sprint [OS 5.2.19972 Build 19972] [UC]

Can someone tell if me certificate checking has been disabled in this ROM? I've been keeping an eye on this thread for the VGA port of the Touch Pro 2 Manila. Per this post, certificate checking must be disable for it to install properly.

I have tested the installer and it works very well, for me. One MAJOR thing is that certificate checking MUST be removed from the ROM you are using on the XIP level. This is something we've found out through testing. If the ROM does not have certificate checking removed then you will throw a VB error when manila tries to start and if you try to start manila manually from the windows folder, you will get a certificate error.

I get none of these. Then again, the ROM I'm using has certificate checking completely removed.

Re: [01-16-09] Juggalo TP ROM v0.08B Telus & Sprint [OS 5.2.19972 Build 19972] [UC]

can someone please tell me why when i open the keyboard and go into landscape mode in some of the applications, such as clocks and alarms, words appear to be "squished" together into a scribbly mess, and when i type in data in some boxes it appears as a weird messy black "glob" or not even show at all as i'm typing it. also, some of the tabs that have labels on them in portrait mode don't even show anything labeled on them in landscape mode. is anyone else experiencing this? how do i fix this?

Re: [01-16-09] Juggalo TP ROM v0.08B Telus & Sprint [OS 5.2.19972 Build 19972] [UC]

Hi guys...I have the latest juggalo rom...and I am having issues roaming...I have called sprint and have had almost every possible update, except one in particular that will not finish no matter how many times I try. It is the one where sprint updates your prl settings and then you have to dial *2 and wait for the update the hang up and reset phone...but my says update in progress on my screen and never finishes...ive waited upto 10 minutes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

from dialpad, ##debug#, lower-left, tap Debug Info, HDR, last line needs to say 1=Authenticated
from dialpad, ##3282#, MSL number:
Active Profile should be set to 1 (normally this what you check for if you're not getting a data connection)
from dialpad, ##778#, edit, MSL number, lower-left, tap View info, Modem Settings:
Preferred Serving System and Preferred Mode should both be set to "automatic", HDR Hybrid Preferred should be "enable"

also, if you dial *2 and your phone continues to be in "programming in progress" mode, you will need to talk to a Sprint CSR to have them remove the PRL Update, they've flagged your number for an update and haven't removed the "flag".
