yes.. its the same issue...happens in portrait and landscape mode... intermittent.... i tried 3 different ROMS and sprint ROM and the trble followed... sometimes happens more then other times...

would they replace the phone if it is under a year old... isnt there a one year manufactory warranty?

or u would have to ship it out somewhere?

Is there any screen diagnostics they can do to check on trble... like ##xxxx# ... then see hardware trble there or somthing ... trying to get as much info as possible.. because when i go in there if i cant get it to duplicate ... they will be like ... no trouble found

Did you purchase insurance when you got your phone with Sprint? If so they should replace it through Asurion. The worst case is they make you pay your deductable.

yes , i have insurance but isnt the phone under warranty for the first year... why should i have to pay $50 for a refurbished phone....

I think that would be the worst case scenario...I don't think you should have to pay the 50$ either, especially since you have the insurance.

I agree - especially since this is a hardware issue that happened, and not something that you specifically did (dropping it, getting it wet, neighborhood dog chewing it) that caused the problem. And, if I read things right, if this is a known issue with HTC and/or Sprint, it should certainly be a free repair. If mine continues doing it, or worsens, I'll raise Hell if they charge me for a replacement!

It's the ribbon underneath the keyboard, I think there's thread on here somewhere about it. you should be able to get it replaced, and do it soon because the deductible's jumping to $100 soon

So, yesterday morning (3/9/09), my phone decided to die. Being in the IT field, I've become pretty good at trouble-shooting, and narrowed this down to the graphics processor/chip. My phone stopped going into Landscape mode, and the splash screens would be in 3 different places upon restarting. Text messages started turning into "snow" (you know, that scrambled TV channel thing ). Eventually, nothing would appear on the screen after soft resets. I took this in to the Sprint repair store, and was given a brand new one right out of the box. Best part of all, my cost was $0. I would suggest anyone having these issues to take your phone in (Might want to put back on stock ROM if you can still see the screen.) The person I spoke with said that they had seen this issue before, but it wasn't very common. Could possibly be some faulty soldering on the board, and the chip came loose or something.

yes same issue... i took to sprint store and they gave me a brand new one... they had no refurb units... NICE... and since i had insurance on the phone it cost $0

Noticed a small issue with the Pictures & Video tab - videos aren't displayed when looking through the device's internal memory, or storage card. But when I use File Explorer, I can see the video files just fine. Any ideas?

This is all kinda new to me , but your screenshots aren't showing "BANDWIDTH EXCEEDED"

Also anybody tried this with a Verizon TP yet?
