Wow...What the heck kinda rom are you using that doesn't have activesync enabled? That's a first for me. Are you sure you've done a hard reset? Or do you have some kinda user customization setup that's installing or changing some settings? Do you have an activesync icon in programs or settings? I'm not sure how to make it run off the top of my head but i know there's a regedit to disable it because I've come across it several times in the past.

You have to put it into bootloader mode. Step #4 under microsd flashing on first post in this thread. Doing a reset will only reset the device.

Sorry about that. I had to step away from the computer for a bit. While the phone is powered on, hold the volume down button, hold the power button, then tap the reset button. Don't let go of the volume and power until you see the bootloader tri-color screeen.

Re: How To Flash Your Touch Pro

I'm sure its already been asked a million times, and i apologize ahead of time for doing it again. But does unlocking and flashing a cooked rom void my warranties? I have TEP, Asurion said it doesnt, but sprint said it does. So I'm going to let you guys be the source. If it does cause a problem flashing, is there a way to flash back and lock so Sprint doesnt know any better?

It does not void your warranty. If you have to return it for any reason or just want to set it back up with the factory default software, then you can do that. The stock shipped rom and re-locker is provided in the sticky's

Re: How To Flash Your Touch Pro

Perfect, i appreciate the input. Sprint customer service is usually capable of taking a battery out of a phone if they all team up and work overtime, so i appreciate the clarification. I"ve never gone the cooked rom route before, any advice withwhich rom to start with, or just try different ones. Also, any advice on what not to do to avoiding bricking my TP?

lol..that was funny. Well...if you look in the upgrade forum you can see who's roms are most popular. Mighty Rom is probably the fastest and most stable. There are also roms that have windows Mobile 6.5 or they have the the new Touch Pro 2(Rhodium) manila which are really new and exciting to check out but they still have bugs, so i would avoid them if you want 100% working and stable. But definitely read around in the CDMA Upgrade forum and you can learn what the different ones have to offer. I hardly ever hear about bricking so don't be too worried about it. Just make darn sure that you don't do it in the middle of a lightning storm when your power might go out in the middle of flashing, or don't have a crazy animal or kids running around and end up having the usb cable yanked out in the middle of the flash process. You can also just flash from the microsd mem card and not worry about those things.

Re: How To Flash Your Touch Pro

Just for backup purposes, where can i find the shipped rom 1.03.651.4? I've been trying to search for it, but it always pop up as a cooked rom reference instead of a download.
