Re: How To Flash Your Touch Pro

thanks razor, i will try there also. I believe i have tried all the usual things. soft reset, hard reset, uninstall/reinstall activesync. reboot the computer. the usb cable does not trigger the three choices when i connect it and the computer's activesync reads not connected. I can trade files via bluetooth but don't know how to sync with bluetooth. I think my usb slot on my computer is working because I am able to transfer photos from my camera on them.

Did you try looking at the USB to PC settings on your phone? Click on Start-Settings-(Connections tab)-USB to PC, then make sure the box is checked for "Ask me first about USB connection type....". On that same screen you can also check to see what option is picked as far as Activesync or Disk Drive. Let me know. good luck

Not sure about your connector. The only last thing i can think of is the ebay battery you got is causing this somehow. Have you tried putting the stock battery back in? What about flashing the stock shipped rom as a last resort? Or trying it on a different computer? Sorry man...I think I'm tapped out of ideas. lol

You're welcome man. I work night shift so I'm not even close to my bed time. lol. Anyways...you know that you can flash from the SD card, if that's what you're after. So...good luck with getting a new-in-the-box replacement. later

I can still charge from ac or usb, I've tried multiple cables and reinstalling activesync. Any suggestions besides using my insurance to replace my TP?
Start->Settings->Connections->USB to PC-> is advanced functionality checked?
Remove that checkmark and then see if that works

i tried it with advanced functionality checked and unchecked without luck. something i just noticed was activesync used to always show up in the quick menu all the time even if i closed it, now i never see it there.

a lot of the custom roms on here have it hidden by default. If you go to Settings, then Task Manager, then Exclusive tab, you should see it listed as repllog.exe. Anything you add in there will not show up on the quick menu...even if it's running. If it's not listed in there, then you may have found the problem. That's why I suggested to you earlier to flash the stock rom to see if it's anything weird going on with the custom rom you're using.
