Re: How To Flash Your Touch Pro

make sure you have activesync (winXP) or WMDC (Vista) installed and that you can sync...
then check bootloader for cmonex to make sure your unlocked...
you can even follow that post you linked and try flashing while in bootloader mode
dont forget you can always flash via SD Card (my recommended method)

good luck !!!

Re: How To Flash Your Touch Pro

Hey guys... really sorry to be irritating. Trying to flash a custom ROM (Mighty's 4.16) for the first time. I've run out of things to f**k with, so yeah... lol

Unlocking from the SD Card was easy and the tri-color page shows the whole CMONEX thing as I believe it should.

My issue is with the flashing, now. I need to do it from the SD Card as well, but when entering the tri-color page I see a white screen flash with a message about no file or something like that. I tried to be very careful to ensure the file was named and placed properly and, like I said, it worked for unlocking. Attached is a screenshot of the files name and place.

Advice would be appreciated, thank you in advance.

Re: How To Flash Your Touch Pro

file name looks right, did you format the card to FAT32?

wait, you said you unlocked using this card so that means it would be formatted FAT32, right?
have you tried a different NBH files? you did extract the NBH prior to renaming right?

Yes, sir... although I did just reformat it again to be sure. No change.

I thought I read somewhere, trying to find and answer, that you could run an exe off the main storage to initiate the ROM install... but it seemed confusing the way it was worded, does that make any sense? lol

I have not tried different NBH files... though I suppose I should. I definitely extracted prior to the rename, also tried different orders of copying and extracting, lol, not that it should make a difference (I wouldn't think).

that's to unlock via SD Card, you run the SSPL exe from main memory...

Re: How To Flash Your Touch Pro

Ok, I thought it was describing something similar for the flash process, gotcha.

Hrm... guess I am going to have to throw together a Windows box here somehow, lol.

Did you unlock your phone first? If so, perform the steps below. If you have not unlocked your phone then go here.
Verify that you are unlocked per instruction #7 in the unlocking thread.
7) to confirm you got it unlocked, go into bootloader mode (tricolour screen!) and verify the screen shows 0.35.CMONEX or 0.37.CMONEX

to enter bootloader mode to see version: with the device turned on, press and hold the volume down button along with the power button, then tap the reset button with the stylus tip, then release the volume down and power buttons when bootloader tricolour screen appears
