delete the shortcuts then? I would rather have functionality over a couple of links that bother me any day

so the next version will b e with the older system files, gsm manila, and most of the stock htc apps, and no sprint apps right? cause this is my complete wish list, until the bugs with the new file system can be worked out at least.

I thought that didn't work? That page pool changer, and you had to hex edit it yourself?

JD, any idea when you might post the new ROM you were talking about? I was going to reflash, but will hold off if you're planning on soon. Thanks!

Here is the long press end key if anybody needs it. There were some registry settings that didn't allow for AE button plus to take it over.

Just take off the .zip at the end.

What are you using? Your last build (JDTPL1) seemed to work out the bugs with multi select, and the bug in scrolling your email, where when you tapped to stop the scroll, it would go to the next inbox. It seemed more stable than the previous build. Are you working off that?

from what i understand, the last build was with the older system files. seems as though the newer system files, while faster, cause some bugs which have yet to be worked out. the last build worked great for me, but was to stripped and the programs that were removed could not be easily added in at least for me, namely quickgps. so i to hope the new build with work off the older system files until a solution for the newer ones bugs can be fixed. also, someone correct me if im wrong with any of this as im still reseaching and learning. (this is my first winmo phone and first time flashing :))

jakdillard 11-14-2008 02:23 PM

Re: [11/7] JD's ROM

newer wm6.1 whichs adds flash3.1 and a slighly newer version of PIE added most of the free stock apps back and added google maps to replace sprint nav.

i looked after you first uploaded but before you added that message. anyhow, i found a mention of a registry edit that re-enabled it like old. sorry, and thank you for all your work.

LOL! you did clearly state that in the first post. I guess some people are so flash happy they just find a link and click just to get the new ROM and don't bother to read for updates.

Re: [11/7] JD's ROM

"AS stays open in background"

I am not sure if anyone has tried this and i dont know exactly why it seems to work. If you go to settings > phone > services > time synchronization > get settings > and then uncheck "time synchronization" it seems to resolve the issue where active sync would randomly come up in the back ground when not synching.

The thread is floating around here somewhere where this is suggested. Only time i see active sync is when i have disconnected from my laptop / desktop and havent closed the app on my device. Once its closed it doesnt reappear until i sync again. Even though i am not entirely sure it seems to help with battery life as well.

Also be mindful that i am still using the stock rom so this may not work for others that have flashed their roms.

I hate to say it, but there is still a bug in that build then. If you are in your inbox, and start scrolling by using touchflow (sliding finger), then you tap to stop the scroll, it will actually take you to your next inbox instead of stopping the scroll. This wasn't happening in your previous build.

I like it.. It's less noisy at startup.

That's a nice Config.txt maze you have there though. At first glance, I just looked in the ExtendedPKG and saw that all you're calling for there are the sprint customizations, then in the dump, noticed it jumps from file to file

Quick question. Did you magically manage to acquire more ram?

Before, with a 24mb static pagepool, i'd get 191.45MB free
Now, I get 192.40MB free with the same pagepool. What gives?
