Re: [11/7] JD's ROM

I tried your JDTP5final rom , but I could not fully install SPB Pocket plus. I am just not a fan of the TF3d. It appear to be successful, but when I tried to put additional icons under Add> Items> Category only Indicators would show up, none of the other options (Programs, My Documents, System, Settings, Custom) are there. I tried a hard reset, and this was the first program I would install after the initial boot and auto-run customization and still had the same problems. :scratch:After I went back to the stock TP rom, it installed just fine. I wasn't able to troubleshoot beyond that. I don't know of a way to track a install to see what files/registry changes are made. For now I guess I am stuck with the slower stock rom. Thanks though.....

Yeah .. You do realize that thread hijacking and posting in the wrong area results in global stock failure . Now because of you the gas prices are gonna will be outrageous ...... look in the oemapps folder for anything relating to manila .... best quick answer would be to download the gsm rom because it will have it broke down into packages ....

ok just an update for those who will not be moving on to using kitchen roms .... since there is a kitchen now my rom will be changing slightly so the new design will be much slimmer only using the apps that I use .... so if you like a loaded rom you may want to build one via ppckitchen as things like the mp3 trimmer, streaming video, voice recorder, adobe reader, live search, ect are things that I still do not use ....... and will be removed

Re: [11/7] JD's ROM

as long as you could provide .cabs for the files your removing it's all good. you there will be others that will still request for this stuff.

that stuff is very time consuming .... honestly I started out with close to stock only because there was no kitchen for this device yet now there is and not only that but my rom doesn't have any type of protection on it whatsoever so if that stuff is needed by anyone in the rom they will have to cook it in themselves

THANK YOU JD!!! I don't use those either and I removed them from your rom and re-heated your rom (since it was already cooked). Thanks for leaving your roms unprotected. I give you much respect and props on your great work. Looking forward to the next edition.

JD, as usual, great ROM, thanks for the hard work. Now how about a little UC love?

THAT WOULD MAKE IT PERFECT! :-)

Sure is! Takes time getting used to just like UC, but it's way more powerful.

True, I forgot I could drop the 2577 directory in the \Storage Card root and have it kick in after a hard reset.

Thanks guys!

Sounds good to me. I do have a question though: I was messing around with the herman kitchen ppckitchen.org put out yesterday and I like the manila they use because it includes the call history, sounds settings, comm panel, and one more I think...my question is could I just take the manila folder out of the buildos kitchen folder and copy paste it into the windows folder of your rom?

Those cabs don't include the Windows Live / Messenger that comes with Stock. I'm hoping to get that.

This is the same link from the first page. I still need .cabs for clear view presentation, adobe 2.5 and RSSHub.

If you go to http://http://www.lilrico.com/cellphone/Sprint%20Touch%20Pro%20stock%20cabs.zip I have update the stock cabs to include Windows Live and RSS hub as well. The Windows Messenger I'll work on to get as well as the other stuff you guys mentioned.

Re: [11/7] JD's ROM

Ok I think that I can say that again I decided on a final design .... much lighter without all of the added stuff that I do not use .... I went back to 19965 because of all the problems I had with 20757 I'm really trying to cut down on making new releases because with all of the flashing that goes on I really don't get a chance to see what the device can really do so the next time that I put out something it will only be because there was a tremendous change or I found a build that plays well with our device ..... happy flashing JD oh yeah first page updated ...... new rom posted .......

No the link is the same. Are you saving it or hitting open? Save it so it doesn't come from your TIF.
