RSTG-It's been a pleasure playing with your roms--unfortunately, my tp1 started acting up again, and I had to upgrade to the TP2...I will be going the way of numb5kull, but will hopefully see your work on the tp2 side. Take care brother.

now i've jumped to this from your spb version. I have a problem with the weather auto picking up my loaction..... and having a sync problem atm... I've hard reset 2 after doing the flash dance.... I'm going to try something else before I reset again. I'm reloading activesync to try that

I'll look into an update for that. Seems like those that use WinXP are having issues. But I'm not expierencing those issues and it will be harder to spot and find a solution...

I have to take off a couple points for having both battery percentage AND Batti up top, which is redundant to me, and I like some of the other clock fonts more than this one. I know...easily fixed, and just my personal preference.

Also, don't know if this has been mentioned before, but I noticed that when I go to add a program to the Programs tab, there are two Comm Managers in the list. Is this a symptom of having a Comm Manager in your custom Tools folder and the default Connections folder of the start menu?

A couple of points?! I'm a blind old man who needs the quick glance at a battery guage... I also think I used it to announce the 10% "Warning. Low battery." in the rom. And commmanger, I haven't really tweaked the startmenu lately. A side effect from having custom start menus. I'll look into it and get it fixed.

Where is not doing that? The only place I can see is on the people tab at the bottom. Throw up a screenshot so I can see what your talking about...or explain it a little better so I know where to look for this issue...

hey RSTG, now that I am on the TP2 threads I read this which may or may not apply to your rom:
Q: Why does this ROM have Opera Mobile 9.5 instead of 9.7?
A: 9.7 does not have shortcuts working within Sense UI.

So anyway if anyone notice this problem you can try Opera 9.5 18152

Any idea why data would be always on?

I have never seen a rom with so many things running on start up. Do you mind sharing what each one does? There are some that are obvious. But how about HTC_PhoneCanvas, Interceptor, OM10QS, TPStartup?

Maybee not for whatever rom problems they are having. But as you can see with my rom, opera9.7 and opera10b2u are working perfectly (once I made my own OEM/EXT) With Opera, these are controlled in a file that I cook in, Pushinternet settings are just registry settings. Opera operates indepentally of other software. Sense usually just executes the program...If you got a botched program you will have limitations. Send me a TP2 and I'll get to bottom of this for ya!

In short, ask the chef where he got his software...

Internet always on... dunno if it's just the icons or if push internet is on. I'll look into it...

I'll try to explain the \windows\startup\*.lnk settings real quick.

For Sense:
HTC_PhoneCanvas - for the ported dialer, integrates better with the shell


Misc:
Batti - That battery bar that everyone loves!
GAlarm Reload - Makes it so your alarm will sound. I don't use windows alarms.
Lumosstarter - activates Lumos, controls backlight
QuickMenu - Starts up everyones favorite menu
SipChange - Sets my keyboard which I renamed "small keyboard" in the registry
OM10QS - Opera10
TPStartup - TouchPal 4.0
Interceptor - Keeps the screen aligned (Removed in latest build due to patched manila.exe)

Anything under Misc are optional...

Thanks for the answers rstoyguy.

I don't know if the data icon always on is just me or something I did. The only thing I've done is look up my location for the weather on the home screen but I disabled the automatic look up of weather data.

hes talking about through the dialer the all people button take you to the home screen instead of all people

The flip-clock is not disable.. When i install another flip-clock. the old one did was not gone...
