I cant seem to get the backgrounds that were mentioned to appear in my phone. Am I to install the cabs to the storage card or to the device? I could not make sense of the instruction txt that was with the zip file. Can someone maybe explain it a little easier for me?

When you run baf msl put your phone in flight mode first, never works for me unless I do. Then you can launch EPST from the program. Or try 652277, or 000000

It's not necesary put in flight mode the baf program have the option follow the instructions with baf.
