Anyway I, like many others, have had the weather not updating problem. On pretty much every rom, unless you initiated a data connection elsewhere. I believe I found a very simple fix/workaround for this.

Go to the Weather tab. Tap menu. Tap Settings.
There should already be a check mark in the "Download Data Automatically" box.
REMOVE the check!
Then check it again! It will ask you to verify the possible data charges. OK.
I set for every 15 minutes, and then checked the roaming box too. Again, verify the possible roaming data charges.

When I did this, it started a data connection, ON ITS' OWN, and updated in seconds! Will keep an eye on it and see if it keeps it up.

Just a little FYI.

Thanks Root, and SKI too. At least now when I bounce around, it's just between these two.

On the MAX SilverRootCombo 0202 now, with Max enabled, but Pewter not installed.
Oh boy, here we go. Lost sound again today. This time it started with losing the sms notification sound. Missed 3 texts from my girlfriend, and boy she was not happy. Only noticed I missed them when I noticed the lights flashing. Went through every single sound setting I could find, and they were all enabled. Shut them off, turned them back on, nada. No notification sounds worked at all. Soft reset and they came back, and once again, so did that wierd default old school dial up modem ring tone, which is always the first thing I change. So far the ringer itself hasn't died like it did in the last Silver build. I'll leave it on here overnight and see it it goes out again. I hope it doesn't, because I really like this rom.

Btw, weather is still auto updating, and the battery life is excellent!

Is it just the Silver rom that you have ringer issues with?
I only ask because it uses the same packs as some other roms.
Always works for me.

Anyone else have that issue?

LOL! I *was* that guy. The one that bought the TP for myself and the diamond for my daughter because I HAD to have the full, real keyboard.

Then I tried out swype. The rest, as they say, is history!

Not sure how long ago I started using it, month, maybe 2? What I do know is that it's one of my first installs right after Arcsoft, and just before SIPchanger for every ROM I try!

I think I may have slid my keyboard open twice since I started using it, and one of those times was an accident.

I know somebody had the same issue as I did on the last build, but can't remember who. And the silver is all I've tried recently.

The strange part is these are the only roms I've had it happen on. Mighty, lunacie latest, Ski, NRG 21885, and of course stock, nada.

Recently I have had the issue. I have ringtones that I made using MP3Trimmer when I first started flashing ROMS (NRG and Mighty). There is one default ringtone and one custom ringtone for my girl. They both work fine all of the time. The ones that work for a short while then stop are .wma files. I copy those to the windows directory with the other notification ringtones. When I first set them, they work fine. Even the preview sound works. Then for some reason, they stop working. I only set VM, incoming text, and incoming email sounds. (VM and email are from my custom ringtones, text sometimes is one of my custom but usually one built into ROM or from the sliding keyboard sounds cab.) Anyway, when the notification sounds stop working, they do not play when you hit the preview button either. I can navigate to the actual file and play in Windows Media. Very strange. Hope this helps you guys...

Edit: BTW I have been running the MaxRoot 23xxx 2.5 builds. Have not tested the Silver or Pewter and not a huge fan of Dusk/Dark.
