Well here goes...

I am new to using kitchens and things but i was interested in trying to fix the drop down in file explorer. This was once fixed and i was wondering like what do i have to look for to fix it or is there a file i need?

I probably forgot the menu enhancement.
Select 2011 menu enhancement and see if that helps.
Just leave everything as is in the kitchen but enable that package and test it.

so i speak english only..... lol joking....

ok so do i transfer the file or something to the phone or do i reload the rom?

ok so i open the kitchen.exe file and then i didn't click anything i just let everything load up i scrolled down and found menu enhancement_1_1_20113129_...... it is already showing true in the include section so whats next again......

Sorry for my ignorance I think i seen a kitchen tutorial somewhere i think i should read that lol

I will do that tonight if i get a chance but if you could help me with this i promise i will not ask no more easy questions if this question was considered as easy.....

Root, I salute you for all the good roms in the past, they were the best. I'm not interested in learning kitchens, so I'm going on to new pastures (Energy is getting there, once again, hopefully his will work as well as RootRom did in the past). Cookie is also making some awesome mods, along with Dinik, the TP still has some life left yet. MaxSense is even on the horizon, who knows... My biggest complaint is that my old eyes (55 yrs. old) have a hard time with the Sense 2.5/Win6.5.X, hopefully I can follow soon into the EVO world.

Thanks to all of you for the help, you guys make this scene work, better than any tech support I've ever dealt with otherwise.

+1 for this issue Root. I've checked white and BaseRooot with the same issue (menu enhancement & the funky 409 are both loaded, but something's still amis).

Thanks again for putting out the kitchen for us! I already had fun OEM-ing my G-Alarm 2.5 CAB (worked like a charm in your kitchen).

EDIT: Success! It works in CarbonRoot! These files are pretty similar, so I hope I can figure out the difference... I really like WhiteRoot

EDIT2: Double Success! I edited the CarbonRoot to match up the visuals with WhiteRoot & viola! Bloatware, but it works. I've attached the .erv (just delete the .txt) and the differences txt file. NOTE: menu enhancement ISN'T in CarbonRoot (perhaps root meant to say make sure it's "not" included?) I'll slim this down tomorrow or later this week.

Ok so got your white carbon up in the kitchen, so i was wondering if i want to put something in the rom i just make it say true value right?

Also how would i add something new like say for instance i want to put swype in the rom as opposed to the standard keyboard?

Ok so after i put it in i know i would save the rom but how would i turn it to the rom file type.

Well, there's 2 ways:
1. Download an OEM for the proggie (good luck)
OR
2. Create the OEM from the CAB (I used these instructions for G-Alarm, worked great!)
3. Add your personal registry settings to the (could be a giant #).rgu file
4. Copy the entire directory to appropriate place in kitchen (SIPs are in .\EXT\Touch_Pro\Common\Packages)
5. You'll see your DIRECTORY NAME as an option next time you open the kitchen (just double-click to make it "true")

I took Calculus 3 at the age of 19 and i think this is more harder than that whew!!!!!!
