Definately not for the faint at heart! (all the more reason we should thank Root for all these great roms - i.e. via the "Thanks" button).

I reco you do a test create in the kitchen before you try to add or change anything, then change things in little increments (change 1 or 2 proggies already in the kitchen, then try to add swype).

Of course you can always just run the cab later - not as streamlined but a lot easier

I didn't add any links to Swype b/c it's looks like it's not quite "free" - just google it, you'll find all sorts of crazy stuff (I didn't find an OEM or EXT package for our phones though).

also why do i keep hearing swype is not free i got a cab file and havent had any problems with it at all?

i going to try my first rom tonight to see what i get .

hey root! how's the droid thing going? I thought to brush up on droid before making the plunge so I jumped over to makkonen's thread to do some homework. I am downloading the XDANDROID package right now to try the dual boot...

LOL just remembered the old sprint commercial where you can hear the pin drop...crickets over here...

hi root - downloaded your kitchen and cooking my first ROM, dont know how it is going to turn out, but i want to try... anyways - had a question for you - how do i update the sys ? i want the latest 23569 in the ROM i will cook next, if you could pls post a quick tutorial or 1,2,3 steps... plss.... if anyone else can help out too...

hey bro thanks for be willing to test for me but i kinda scared to do anything lol really i am procrasinating alot and a lil confused on some things but i going to do it didnt finish tonight like i wanted to. I did do a few things i think it was a success i am thinking to cook the lucida cursive writing only fear is that it will be white and white writing in white root will not be good lol i am thinking.

well I will crack at it again tomorrow and see what i can figure out.

There isn't a quick 123 to really update the sys.
What the easiest thing to do is look in the old sys folder and make a new folder for the new sys.
Make sure all folders match.
Test it and see if it works.
You can also grab sys sorter.
delete all other resolution files you don't need.

You should be able to change font color.
