Anyone know if the GPS symbol with the dash through it can be taken out of the top bar. On older OMJ's roms it would not be in the top bar if GPS was off. I have GPS off with this rom and it just puts a dash through it rather than disappearing. Didn't know if this was something OMJ cooked into the rom.

Re: OMJ's HTC EVO 2.3.3 Custom ROM v5.0 | GingerBread 4.12.651.1 | *Updated 4/15/11*

Alright guys, hoping that one of you all can help me with this...

I wasn't really digging the GB ROM, so I decided to flash back to 4.6. That was my first mistake.

Now, I am encountering the following problems...

1) MMS will not send or receive. Gives "Generic Network Failure."
2) Clock will no longer display the weather in the current location.
3) Keyboard no longer has the microphone button, but instead has an "En."

I've tried reflashing 4.6 and hard resetting - did not seem to help. I also attempted to install the HTC_IME keyboard, but it force closes.

If you need more information, I'm willing to give it. I appreciate any help that can be given!

Unfortunately, I did not do a NAND backup (poor decision on my part.) Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Yes that is a mod and nobody is really making mods for the GB rom yet b/c its a test build. The reticle with the slash is the way it works stock. After a final is leaked I'm sure you will see mods galore

Well damn! Had 5.0 all up and running with no brightness prob (I happen to have the epson display) and it was fast. But had to revert due to a browser issue (of course) ... neither stock nor Dolphin would let me enter form data on a travel web page I use for work

You can always use an app called “Screen Filter” to adjust brightness

I'd try a full wipe & reflash 4.6

Appreciate your assistance - I've reflashed 5.0 and did not encounter the problems that I did the last time that I flashed. All of the issues were resolved.

Thanks for all that you do OMJ!
