Dude...like I said...I did try just app + data (not system data) on pre3 and I still got stuck on the Android logo after reboot.

Gonna try pre4 now and c if I'm gonna have less drama wit it!

It has to be something going on with one of the programs youare restoring. You need to do them one by one and figure out which is causing the problem.

Pre4 is running great. Nothing bad to report. I been using it since 8am est, installed all my apps, did data restore and all is great. GPS is working perfect and phone is operating smooth

I never have any real problems with your rom (well, pre3 was kind of choppy, but pre4 isn't), love it!

Also, got my GPS to lock down to 8 meters accuracy while driving. Pretty badass.

Did you wipe cache and dalvik-cache?

probably a dumb question, but do i have to wipe the caches again before flashing the kernel? i wiped those caches before loading the rom.

edit: I went back and reloaded the pre4 and it was fine, then i wiped the caches and reflashed the kernel and same thing, stuck on splash screen. I wonder if it's something with 3.3.7? I'll try the 3.3.5 kernel and see what happens

re-edit: sorry for another edit, but i just flashed tiamat 3.3.5 non sbc and its working. since, i have no idea what goes on in the background with the rom or kernel, i'll leave that up to the experts, but this is what i can report back. I will try 3.3.6 non sbc and see what happens.
