My EVO is in the mail and Im trying to decide what ROM to flash when I get it.
If I'm not mistaken, the basic format of the ROM's "revisions" is to show what has changed from previous versions in sequence from first to last. So basically read the oldest or very first revision listed and then read the nextand remember what's been added or removed along the Rom's progression. This format typically reduces the amount of redundant Rom features from version to version. For example: If a feature was added back in the 2nd revision and has not been mentioned as being removed or changed in any newer revisions, then that feature still remains. The same principle applies to apps, tweak, mods, etc. Read the revisions from the beginning and pay attention to what's been added, changed, or removed and you can make your decision accordingly.

I do know what you mean and why you asked this question. Some Rom chefs do repeat their rom's features with every version, while this Rom chef decided to do it this way. Unless I'm wrong, Chris has used the format that only reflects any changes from previous versions while not repeating the same features for every revision.

Re: [ROM] 01/26/11 | SPRINT LOVERS | 2.2 | 3.70.651.1 | Radio/Wimax/PRI All-In-One

i recently rooted my evo and am running the sprint lovers Evo rom. quick question, ever since i flashed, my tube won't play videos. it loads if i search for something, then when i try to play it it says, "there was a probelm while playing Touch to retry"

I'm not sure if it's an internet thing b/c when i enable WIFI, they play just fine. my internet is working on the phone and i can surf the web just fine. Any thoughts??

Your not alone on this. I get this problem on stock rom also even on WiFi.

Try rebooting your phone, this feature has worked on everyone of Chris's roms so it should work. May be something installed on your phone causing the problem. A reboot, just like Windows, often solves misc. problems.

I just uninstalled the wifi hotspot that was in the sprint lovers rom. I installed wireless tethering apk. This works fine. went on line with this on first try. I did not stay on line to long because I was afraid Sprint would throttle my data because I was using to much. Only wanted this in case of an emergency (internet goes off) or on a vacation and want to use laptop.

Is there any difference between wireless tethering and wifi hotspot if thay both have the same versions. ? Also where do you find the wifi hotspot downloads ? All I found were Google's wireless tethering.

Its the same app, Chris just renamed it and themed it. Wireless tether is stealth tethering so Sprint doesn't know how much data your using. No need to worry about Sprint throttling your internet. Use it as your everyday driver if you want.

Slight correction on your statement about sprint not knowing how much data you are using.. They do know how much data you are using and they can still throttle you down. Theo only difference from those apps that are Stealth is that Sprint does not see the data being used as being used through the native WiFi sharing application that you have to pay. It sees it as normal phone data use.

I'll have to look closer at my bill, because when I'm on the road I tether alot at the hotels using slingbox and downloading files and my data use on my bill is less than my TP2 bills were.
