you can never have too many backups, I would first sign up for gmail, that is the best way to backup & restore contacts. Also, do a nand & titanium backup

Everyone says to use gmail to sync contacts, but my gmail wont sync contacts at all. I have it under the phone's settings to sync all of those checkboxes, but when I go to my gmail my contacts aren't there. Anyone have a suggestion?

And has anyone been able to confim the grounding issue is fixed with this update?

After updating with v1.6, I cannot enable wifi. I came from v1.4 with radio then v1.5 and now I'm having problem with v1.6. Also my keyboard is very slow. I'm using better keyboard. I changed to htc keyboard and it seems to work fine. Help please.

I love v1.5 ... I think I'm going to restore it.

4G is not working also.

Ok, so I was a longtime vet of the winmo wars, started out as a rookie with a 6700, had the 6800, touch, diamond, touch pro, touch pro 2....and felt comfy doing anything I needed to them. When I moved to EVO and Android, like most I was so impressed with the simplicity of the OS that I swore I would never need to go back to "war" as it were. But alas, within days, the need to tether was upon me. That, mixed with horrendous battery life drove me to dive in to OMJ. Rockin work dude! I just have a few questions I am unclear on. Maybe someone can help an old vet...

1. To load a new rom, do I just go back to recovery mode, wipe twice on both, and load new zip? Or do I need to do all three steps?

2. How do I load a new radio? If I load 1.6, does that do it?

1. Yup, wipe and flash. You may want to do a NAND backup first-its a COPY of the ROM image, not a settings backup.
2. New radio is flashed like a ROM without the wipe, just flash. No, 1.6 does not update the radio

Cant speak to 4G as it's not here yet. For Wifi try to uninstall/reinstall from the Market. That has worked before.

EDIT: Same question I posted below-I assumed you meant Wifi tethering? Is that it?

@ALL-after flashing 1.6 I got greedy and applied Calks Wimax update eventhoug I dont have 4G. Got greedy and paid for it

I LOST ROOT.

No biggie, just gotta redo but thought I'd warn y'all to proceed with caution as far as the Calk radio update goes. At least one other user had the same experience.

I am getting an unable to start wifi message and can't start it any ideas how to fix this?
