Here is my usage for today. I still think I'm going to go back to stock, seeing all these horror stories popping up about fried batteries. I was pretty happy with battery life on the SBC kernel though.

Has anyone using omj's rom had a battery fail? Just curious if the problem could be from something else people are putting in their roms

I am having the battery problems as well. Seems like the battery drains quickly when its asleep. I am using the latest HTC kernel, I believe 15. This is by far my favorite Rom I just want the battery to be better. Please fix.

And I thought I was the only one seeing quick battery drain on the new ROMs.

I downgraded (?) to 4.1Odex and the bettery is better. I'm now running the SetCPU deal where the CPU is underclocked each time the screen is turned off. We'll see how it goes.

OMJ, love the ROMs. I've been running nothing but your ROMs since June, and I'm looking forward to this getting fixed.

I guess I'll chime in about my battery life sucking too. At least I'm a truck driver so I always got a charger wherever I am. Otherwise I can only make it through about half of my day with minimal usage.

Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk

Battery is still sucking though. I can't figure it out!

and I just downloaded the sbc kernel.....oh well, I'l stick w/ stock, I rarely go under 50% so I'm not desperate....

I did read this article on HTCpedia....they say to unplug, wait a few, then plug back in to fully charge....

Things I didn't know: The EVO's battery doesn't trickle charge

Hey OMJ,

Just been doing some reading and trying to learn today so...

Are SPL and HBOOT the same exact thing... or is hboot maybe just the "shell" for SPL... or is the SPL just a piece of the hboot?

Where exactly does the SPL and/or hboot code reside? In the NAND (kinda like a "boot" sector or something on the NAND chip)? or does it have it's own chip on the board? ... (just now thinking that maybe this all resides in the "boot" partition on the NAND??)

honestly, I dont know bud....there are still alot of things about the EVO I dont know, trust me, I'm am no "know it all", and really dont care to be :)

I wasn't aware of a flash update, but it's very possible it caused the hulu to stop working.....attached is the flash I had in the ROM...

Thanks for the link OMJ and the person who posted it earlier.

Anybody who is having problems with battery life, I strongly suggest going back to 3.8.

I just wonder what is causing the drain. It must be something that is running in the background that wasn't before. I'll be monitoring this thread closely to see when it's safe to jump back into 3.7.

The problem there is I am addicted to Swype. And I don't feel like bootlegging it when I can get it legit for free.

So, I went back to 4.1 last night, in 8 hours I lost 25% of my battery. That is with the phone sitting there on my night stand. Titanium did run a scheduled backup, but that is it.

My coworker is running 4.4 and says he noticed his battery is draining faster also.

I'm going back to 4.4 (I really like the features) and will suffer through the bad battery life until it gets fixed.

OMJ, what info can I provide to help you track down the problem?
