I hit about 80 to 75 percent battery life after about 2 hours of use. Thank goodness I have my zagg battery pack. Hope we see a fix soon. I can wait.

20% loss in 2 hours of usage? Sounds normal to me. Zagg sparq? Never seen that, pretty cool.

It is ok until it starts dropping to 50% after 3 hours. My wifes evo with same usage is at 70% in the same time frame. I even closed apps not in use. But like I said, I got my zagg.

Re: OMJ's HTC EVO 2.2 Custom ROM v4.0 | FroYo 3.30.651.3 | *Updated 11/17/10*

Well, seeing the same (terrible) battery usage with the 3.29.651.5 as i was with the 3.30, and am seeing many more crashes in the browser... so going to go back to 3.30 and see what happens.

I can live with the 50% usage in 3 hours as i am usually able to charge and carry extra battery's with me when traveling... But its not like this is just from talking, its non stop talking, texting, pandora, and phonemypc...

Hopefully the battery life gets back to where it was before the last 2 OTA's (yes, i know not taking thm OTA)

Oh and seeing about the same with some other ROM's out there, just IMHO OMJ's ROM seems to be closer to my tastes of a really good starting point...

hope everyone had a good thanksgiving!....

one thing I picked up in another thread that I didn't realize was turned on, was "enable always-on mobile data". once I disabled, battery life was much better!

menu, settings, wireless & networks, mobile networks, uncheck enable always-on mobile data

Re: OMJ's HTC EVO 2.2 Custom ROM v4.0 | FroYo 3.30.651.3 | *Updated 11/17/10*

Several days ago, I wiped and reinstalled from scratch using 4.0. So far it's giving great battery life (about 11-12 hrs with all day bluetooth and phone calls). it's slightly better than the earlier releases.

I will admit that wiping completely and not using a back up to restore probably made the difference. Syncing with gSyncIt now and stopped using HTCSync. I found that program way too buggy.

As for the reset after disconnecting the BT, it seems to be a problem once Vlingo has been installed.

So far... I find this ROM flawless and it's working great for me. Try a manual reinstall this time and you might have the same results.

Thanks!

By unchecking that how will my phone act different?

I too did a full wipe when going to version 4.0. My battery life has been great since. Far better than any of the previous releases.
