I think I will just go back to a earlier version of the rom.

they want that you run the ##786# for factory reset so you can do that but before than do it you can make a nandroid then just restore it

If that doesn't work, then I'm gonna do a Full DATA wipe and start from Scracth... I'm 99% sure it's not OMJ's rom.. That leaves me with either Riptides V9 (V7 was doing good for me...) or some of the apps/widgets I've installed. But I'm not sure how to tell which app/widget is causing issues. There is 1 widget that keeps getting FC on me.. But even if I close it down I still keep getting FCs from others. The phone just seems to start lagging and slowing it self down.

I'm on OMJ 3.5 deodexed, with the latest RADIO Combo Pack from XDA. I'm also running Riptides V9. Stock Kernel, no SetCPU installed.

Question:

If I install an App/widget/live wallpaper but I don't run them, can they still cause issues with the phone?

I'll report back my misery... :confused1:

Been getting some random force closes as well, I will probably just hard reset and get everything set back up and see if it helps.

I'd still wait it out another day before changing ROMS.

Under the guise of "anything's possible" I'd say yes an app MAY cause issues just by installing it.
The true test is a little bit tedious and long but it's gotta be done somethimes.
Install the ROM. That's it, no kernels, no themes, no apps (a bit extreme I know) Run the ROM. How long is up to you but you need to verify that the ROM is running correctly on your device before making ANY changes.
After that add apps but only a few at a time, if you add twenty at once and things get wonky you cant know which one it was.
If you rule out your apps then go to the theme, etc, etc.

Well if you are running the encryption then you need to enter the SAME encryption key on your PC/laptop or it wont connect. You *should* be prompted for it but it all depends on your system.
I'd suggest changing it from abcdefghijklm ;)

Its called passphrase on the phone, but when you try to connect your laptop to your phone you have to enter that key in your network connections on your laptop so it will connect. I think the default one is abcdefghijklm

A hard reset IS a Data wipe so I would just do it the way you have been-from Recovery.
I've been using Calks Format All zip and then hitting the Dalvik wipe twice.
