Re: OMJ's HTC EVO 2.2 Custom ROM v3.0 | FroYo 3.26.651.6 | *Updated 8/13/10*

Using this ROM with the overclock widget (in the Market) I was able to get 1day 3hour and 16mins of use, (It lasted in the red for the 3 hours)

Very good.

Settings of the overclock widget i'm using:

I always hit "detect frequencies" first
Min: 576000
Max: 998400
Differ Freq Screen Off: Check
screen off freq settings:
min:245000
Max: 245000
Update Interval: 30sec(this doesn't matter imo tho)
Supress Notification: Check
Use your freq: Check
Auto-start on boot: Check

then i click save and done.

credit for the settings go to syanni85

With what kind of usage?

Without the OC widget During the week with pretty heavy usage I can go between 13-15 hours on one charge before I get to the red and then I usually plug it in because I can't take any chances of it shutting down on me.

On weekends, I can go probably the whole weekend on one charge and that's because I hardly use my phone on the weekend.

Thanks for the info.

Sorry for two posts but I want to confirm for those who are searching the market for "OC widget", you mean SetCPU with the widget on the home screen, right?

B.T.W., since when did they start charging for this app? The icon looks different too, is this a new update that is supposed to work with Froyo?

Interesting.......

No he means OverClock widget (by Billy Cui)...I use OC Widget over SetCPU as well.

As for SetCPU you can get it for free at XDA still

Ok, I feel dumb, easy on the comments people, anyway, do you prefer the overclock widget?

Thanks for the info about XDA members being able to get it for free still. Going to check out the OverClock widget now.

No not the SetCPU, its the actual app named Overclockwidget.

As far as usage, it was the weekend so the usage wasn't as heavy as my weekly usage, but I did quite a few text msg, phone calls and some web browsing as well as playing with the new voice search. I'll report more after today, I'm curious to see how long it'll last me on a weekday also.

Yes I prefer the Overclockwidget to the SetCPU; 1. OCwidget is free, and 2. to me the interface is simpler and easier to setup and understand.

Yea takes forever to load conversations and bring up the keyboard! Then after the text is sent with the quick send box the keyboard remains over the home screen!

Not happening with me. If I recall when I loaded it I still needed to go to Market to upgrade....have you done that?

Oh yeah..some people say they see it on Market..others don't. Here is the non-beta Flash I downloaded from a thread at XDA. I think Nexus folks can see it and that's where I got it. Haven't actually tested it yet. (unzip & install via Astro or EStrong File Explorer.
