I'm sure it can, not sure how, but I'll see if I can find out

Nandroid backup is great. you have your device running how you want, and then if you have quick boot, you can launch into recovery, or you can do valume down and power to reach recovery, or rom manager will let you do backup of your nand before any updates installed. even if you get bootloop trying to do something a simple pull of batt, volume down and power, and selecting recovery works wonders. simply select nandroid/recovery/and select recent date and poof, back to where you started. nandroid is the best, period.

As far as I know OMJ doesn't have a secret stash of apps. If OMJ has been inconsiderate enough to not include the apps you need, try the Market.
The MP issue with the kernel can be fixed, its been mentioned 437 times.
The fact that wireless tether doesn't work without a kernel modification has NOTHING to do with the ROM. The shipped ROM is kinda cool, enjoy.

Damn, what is the benefit of the stock kernel vs the capped 3mp kernel?

Nevermind, I see it has to do with wifi tethering. Carry on.
