Since omj started the new froyo release..
I guess i have to update i have a older version of prl.

This wont effect the root right?

No, not at all. Update PRL then Profile and see if that helps.

I can't for the life of me figure out why I am only getting 4hours standby and it is extremely slow :( I have been running this since release .

this makes no sense. Even if you had every widget running it would not die in 4hrs with no usage. something is definitely not right. I would wipe and reflash. mine has been off for 3 1/2hrs (OMJ deoxed latest) with light usage and Ive lost about 14% battery in that time. Also makes sure you turn off certain apps/widgets and apply other battery tweaks discussed in the forum. Good luck.

only other thing that would do this imo is if you are sitting in very poor coverage area which will definitely kill you battery.

Awesome dude.. I'm glad you didn't have to :violent1: beat it with a stick..

I installed setcpu again to see if it would work now. It's been ok but I do get lags and issues. I'm gonna uninstall it. Netarchy's kernel does a good job on it's own OCing the system.

Glad your Evo is working good now. Battery life seems to be good to, huh?

I've been unplugged since 12:45 and it's 7:45. I'm at 47% battery remaining.

Make sure you don't have an OC app running. Those appear to be causing issues with froyo right now.

yes battery on both devices doing 30% better then the last 2 days !!
now that kernel, does it still cap camara at 3mp ?? and do u suggest me giving it a try ?? what all will it do for me ??

If you go from stock kernel to modded kernel it will SAY its 3MP but it will be set to whatever MP you had before you flashed the kernel.
So just set it to 8MP, flash the kernel and then dont mess with the MP setting. If you need to change it for some reason or just dont like the modded kernel you can always just flash the stock kernel back. It's posted in netarchy's thread (and this one)

EDIT: The kernel will uncap your fps-you should see something @50-55fps vs the stock limit of 30.
It will make the whole system quicker, my mflops went up to about 40 from 37.
Keep in mind it is an older leaked kernel, not the source for Froyo so all benefits have not been maximized.
As with any mod you may see benefits, you may not. Like I said above, if you dont think it works for you you can just flash the stock one back.

What's OCing or and OC program. I'm getting all types of lag at times with this new ROM
