Silly question time!

I own a HTC Touch Diamond (GSM) can I use the CDMA kitchen from here on it.. If not how easy is it to port across..

Can't use the cdma stuff or you'll really mess up your phone. There's plenty of gsm upgrades at xda ... you will do much better there.

wndunn is right there plenty of good stuff there besides gsm gets everything first then cdma so there stuff will be more smoothed out and refined

i'm still a beginner with cooking, i've cooked a few 21055 6.1 roms with omj's kitchen but everytime i do the htc messaging client start to act funny like freezing up and other bugs, is it supposed to be fully working yet or should i be using nomsg?

also when there is duplicate entries in the kitchen like htc scroll version 1.0 and htc scroll version 2.0 do i need to add them both or just the latest one?? thanks guys

nomsg was not fully functioning yet.....but there has been an update, I'm testing now

well adding more folders is easy, when your modifying the path of a shortcut, just insert the new folder name. Now having a custom folder icon is another story. Look in my EXT named Icons - Start menu, look at the app.reg for the registry settings for each icon, the icons are in the files folders. you would need to add icons & registry settings for each.

I dont edit too much. So, I load your template (the lastest sys) . add or remove whatever apps I want, save it as my rom, and then click Create rom and flash it??

no, but you may be removing something that is needed. load, add/remove, create, flash

did u remove Interceptor or aNatives position fix? one of those is needed for 6.5.x roms

yep, just as Vance said, GPS_GMM is google maps

I dont thinks its a requirement though....i think manila uses googlelocationservice package

GPS_GMM is not required to make 2.5 work.

Working in the kitchen and building a 6.5 rom using your template and everything is going good! have a question, I figured out how to put the shortcuts to the programs that I have added to the folder I want to but can not figure out how to move some of the ones around that you have already in place. Like I want to put File Explorer in the programs folder and I looked and found inflashes.dat and the only copy of it was in the temp foler and when I changed the file path there it did not move.

any help?

Hey OMJ,

Couple of things...

1. When you get the updated amarullz's PeopleMessagingClassic any chance you could either post or pm me the updated package? Maybe a link in the first post to the updates to the kitchen as they come rather than having to d/l the whole kitchen again? I realize this could open up a whole can of worms (a slew of questions) by posting updates rather than the whole kitchen and will understand if you don't want to do that. It's just that i have spent a lot of time tracking down and tweaking all the .provxml's and initflashes throughout the kitchen (as well as adding packages, etc...)and don't even necessarily remember where i found them all LOL.

2. As far as the no animation wallpaper thing... I just told it to select animated wallpaper but then instead of selecting one of the three I browsed and selected a regular background and it worked fine. Set the background and the weather animation doesn't play, this way the BG4All still works too. FWIW
