That's funny, I never had much success with the 23xxx series.

Looks like it was the 2011 Menu Enhancement that was causing my menu problems, not 23529.

Yeah, the person who posted the 2011 packages said the new menu enhancements didnt work properly with 6.5.x. What's your opinion on 23529 without them? I am genuinely curious.

It seemed laggy to me, and I kept getting brief freezes. I guess it could have been a bad flash. I might go back and give it another try.

actually since some people asked me to... im making a 6.5.x rom right now...
and my port of menu enhancement works perfect on it.
omj also told me that he didn't get it to work... i don't know why... i didn't need to change anything from my original port to get it work on 6.5.x.

maybe u guys used the skin for menu enh that is in omj's kitchen. this would make it not work right since the png image has changed to a bigger size.
so try to check that out.

Cesium ... 23529 was very quick for me ... built in OMJ's kitchen.

Really? I built a 23529 in OMJ's kitchen, and it wasn't smooth at all. Must have been something I did in the kitchen. I'll give amikam's ROM a try when he puts it up.

I was surprised at how quick it was. Reminded me of my 6.1 Sense 2.1 builds ... quite smooth.

Okay... I'm definitely flashing amikam's ROM, then. I always flash stock first, but I have stopped clearing storage after flashing cooked ROMs. Have you found that this helps?
