Ok I've got Manila TV cooked in and working! I just need for someone to send me their US channels xml file if they don't mind sharing. All I have atm is Fox and MSNBC. As soon as I get the xml I'll upload the ROM

Out of 7 ROMs I tried, I have decided to stick with this one. Thank You !!
Couple questions: 1. Missed calls/Voicemail Indicator: I see there is small icon on the top for missed calls/vm, I was wondering if there is any other indication, missed calls tab or something like that...? 2. I want my "Home" to be the second page and not the one that comes with HTC standard (with big time clock)... The second page has 12 icons where I can select application, contact, ... I want to make this as my "permanent" home page.. Any way to do it? Thanks, -Sam |

Only thing I need to know is whether you can cook into "Internal Storage," which is where I have the Coreplayer and Skyfire stored and pathed-to in the XML file. If the players HAVE to reside in main memory for cooking purposes let me know and I'll rewrite the links in the XML file to \windows\coreplayer.exe and \windows\skyfire.exe. I'll send you the version of Coreplayer I am using. does the PM allow for attachments, or do I need to send to your email address? To be in line with the same view and orientation that the Manila TV player has as its default for Windows Media Player you have to change two settings in Coreplayer: under "video" choose "Open video full screen" and under orientation choose "Left-handed." Later, George |

Now for the good news... If you can wait a couple days or so (maybe less) I'll have an updated version of my 2.5 ROM out. The new version has the manila Locker which does integrate a missed calls notification on the screen when locked. (similar to s2u2) This version also fixes the email freeze issue and will have Manila TV too, so it's definately worth the wait imo. |

PMD, I sent you all the stuff for the Manila TV player portion of your cook. Did you get it all? I sent it via four separate emails. Let me know, if you didn't receive one of them I'll resend it.

I tried it and look good but for some reason after I select all messages for text messages tab, the phone freezes most of the time and I have to soft reset. I usually setup exchange account, switch text to classic mode, sync with myphone and then switch back to threaded mode.
Was using OMJ's rom and did not experience this. Any thoughts? |

Quick first impressions on Manilla tv, wow the thing looks great and works perfect so far for me, there's around 60 mem left over after flash PMD.

Question about this ROM before I flash to it.
Does the Internet tab in Manila work with Opera when opera is installed on internal storage or does it default to mobile IE? I did a quick search of this thread and I couldn't find the answer. |

Is Manila locker in the 23502 version, and if not, will it work if I install the cab?
Thanks |

I am having lock up issues with texting as well. It just locks when I try to send and I have to manually kill the process in order for the rest of the phone to function normally.

How do you like the TV part? Took me some time to get all the links together and the logos cut and photoshopped to size, but I figured it will come with me on any future device I may get (next up probably the Touch Pro 2) so it was worth the effort to me. Besides, it was worth it just to see my friends with Iphones, Droids and Blackberries drooling over the tab. :-) |

The messaging area causes freezing. Not with "All Messages" but related to the "Menu" button. I like the Full QWERTY keyboard better than the previous one. To all: Regarding Manila TV, change the setting in the Coreplayer to match the same full screen and left-handed view used by Windows Media Player. 1. Click on the "Menu" button and navigate down to "Tools", then click "Settings." Put check mark next to "Play at open in fullscreen." Then click "OK." 2. Click on the "Menu" button, navigate to "Options," click on "Orientation," change checkmark to "Left-handed." Click "Close." Next time you load a TV channel it will be full screen sideways, left-bound, and matches the default orientation setting of all Windows Media Player streams. |

georgepa, when you say "Upon first install I had 61 MB available memory", do you mean 61 MB's of Main Storage Memory or Main Program Memory?
Also, could someone please post the amount of both Main Storage Memory and Main Program Memory available just after flashing PMD's 02.02.10 Sense 2.5 - 6.5.x 28014 release? Thanks in advance... Best to all, R |

Hitting the Menu button in Messages brought up the typical menu for me last night, but then it froze. I can't duplicate that today, hitting Menu does nothing, but it also does not freeze. Later tonight I'll try the flash again, this time after going to stock ROM first. |

The reason for asking is that I just wanted to figure out if my Diamond would be running critically low on main storage or main program memory prior to flashing it. With OMJ's fairly recent 28014 v1.5 Sense 2.5 ROM (which I really appreciate), the storage memory available is 46 MB and the main program memory is 105 MB, just after flash. Then, once I move everything possible to internal storage, load all my programs etc... (almost all to internal storage), main storage available drops down to 12 MB's. This 12 MB number goes down to about 1 MB of main storage left, if I let the Application Data\HTC\HTC Album Cache fill up completely, and do not wipe the large album cache files daily. Anyway, with your latest ROM, it looks like my fully loaded Diamond would still have around 16 MB's of main storage left. The big plus is that the HTC Album application data would not need to cleaned daily, and the system would include HTC TV with georgepa's channels. More cheers! Thanks again, R |

Has anyone been able to get hotmail to work on the latest version of PMD ROM? First I was getting an error so then I installed the Windows Live mobile cab and it looks like it is working and it finishes but it doesn't show my hotmail as an available account. I've tried with Sense enabled and disabled but I haven't been able to get it to work either way.
--------I got it working. Not sure why it started working, I installed all of my other program cabs and then I decided to try to get hotmail again and sure enough it worked perfectly. |

The previous ROM had 81MB of Storage memory available. Not sure how PMD does it. I tried OMJs kitchen and stripped the file off almost everything I could conceivably do without or put into Internal Storage, and I didn't come close. So I gave up. :) As for cab-installing things into Internal Storage: When you install, say, Skyfire, Opera Mobile 10, Sprint Navigation, Garmin XT, Call of Duty, Virtual Mobile Pool, into Internal Storage they install some stuff into Main Memory, even though they load perfectly fine JUST from Internal Storage. So, another flash is needed to remove Main Memory use while still having the program ready to go off Internal Storage. I have about 60 programs on Internal Storage which don't need to be installed at all anymore, no matter how many flashes I perform, they are always ready to go immediately after any flash and aren't a draw on Main Memory. Unfortunately, many Gameloft games only work from Main Memory, so they have to stay outside. |

Thanks for the helpful tips georgepa. Cheers!
Wow, it's funny that you mentioned the Internal Storage trick, as I've actually been leaving everything possible loaded on Internal Storage for a long time now. Actually it's been a dirty trick here since the PPC-6700 and miniSD card days in late 2005 and 2006. Back then, I figured it out by accident, but it saved space and time, and I could just add shortcuts to the start menu programs folder when needed and be good to go with many of my favorite programs. You are also so right about Gameloft. What a pain! That said, some of my other programs do not run right unless they load portions to the Windows folder as well. So I have to rerun the cabs for them, and some need keys reentered, but it's not a big deal. Nonetheless, I'm going to try your second flash trick, and see if I can save even more space and cut the reload time further. Many thanks! Best to all, R |

First of all, awesome job! I love the TV and this seems like a pretty stable setup (I tried to break it and haven't managed to yet). I'm a Bell Mobility customer, so installed the dcd Bell Mobility cab and I think that broke some of the taskbar icons. Is there somewhere I can find the icons you cooked in to this in order to replace them? Thanks for any help you can offer; the ugly stock volume and battery icon look like chumps next to the nice blue ones for the signal and data connection!

There are programs that work perfectly fine just off "Internal Storage." Opera Mobile 10, Skyfire Browser, Pandora, etc. Instead of installing them to "Device" choose the "Internal Storage" method. Then all you have to do is run the program off "Internal Storage." You may also create shortcuts to those programs and put them into the Quicklinks. However, when you first install a program into "Internal Storage" you also install stuff into the device, even though the program can be run entirely from the "Internal Storage" area. Do that with 10 programs and you notice your Storage Memory depleted. Thus, reflash, gain all your Storage Memory back, and run the installed programs directly from the "Internal Storage" area. |
