Well to be honest, I have no idea how to make it work in another language because I've only ever built English roms. But I'll look into it and see if I can get you a better answer than that :)

unfortunately you can't remove the small clock. its part of the latest sys since com3. however depending on how he has the rom cooked you should have the ability to access the task manager via tapping the clock twice method or he may have it mapped to the Start button. not sure though. good luck.

Actually it's both :) Theres a task manager linked to holding the Start button for a couple seconds and theres the compact one that will drop down if you hit the top right corner of the screen.

Ok thanks! I'll see about adding a cab for MMS to the first post. Is it Arcsoft MMS that everyone uses?

This ROM works well and I like still having 60+ MB storage available after it is all said and done. The only thing I am running into is that the "People" tab does not work. I can add a contact, but I am not able to click on the contact once it has been added to the "People" tab. When I click on a contact, nothing happens. Is there a fix or cab for this problem?

Hmmm This is the first I've heard of this. It's been working great for me. Haved you tried hard resetting or re-flashing?

I'll bite the bullet and reflash to fix the issue. I was hoping it was something others experienced, because I have it working very well (and loaded it up just right with apps) and did not want to start over. :-) Oh well, on to a reflash.

BTW, the Manila TV cab for HTC Sense 2.5 is now refined. It installs a new tab (in place of Footprints) and works pretty well. Check it out:

Do the older CE apps work on this ROM? I have a few of these older apps that I'm dependent on but really want to rock these new builds.

Here is an example of an older CE app called KeepTrack, with a link to the .cab.

Using 6.5.1/2.1 TF3D ROM - programs aren't closing on tapping X. I know with 6.1 there was an easy way to fix that with a setting, but I can't seem to find it on here. Can someone help?

Overall, so far nice ROM. I've been a little hestitant to make the switch from 6.1 to 6.5, but I think this one might finally get me to do it.

There's a cabs.zip file in the first post with opera 10 and other apps to be installed on the storage card after flashing. Once you install Opera it will be the default.

Known problem with 6.5.x systems. You have to close programs by using the exit menu option or by using the task manager.

Hmm well just looking at it I'd say you might have an issue with the 6.5.x version because the bottom bar witht he start menu might cover up the bottom of the app. But theres always the poss that it'll still work so give it a whirl

Yeah, thats been the problem. Not that it covers that bottom bar, but the OS tries to make that whole menu finger friendlier and makes everything huge so it falls off the side and you can't access most of the icons. Maybe if I get some time I'll test it out myself, but out of all of the previous 6.5.x ROMs I've tried, it's a no go.

I installed the trial of the software and it appears to work fine. It all looks formatted correctly, all icons are visible, no bleeding over the edge. The bottom bar is visible and usable. Looks to be working 100%.

I used the "Touchphone devices" version and the downloaded PocketPC .cab file:

The issue went away after I reflashed. Everything is working fine. I have tons of apps loading, some from main memory, most from the storage card, and I still get 73MB free memory. Working nice and fast.

Thanks. The only other issue I'm having with the 6.5.1/2.1 is that my battery life is really bad. I suspect maybe it's the lumos? Is there a way to completely remove or disable it?

Well, Lumous is meant to help save battery, so I wouldn't think it's the culprit unless the settings are incorrect. If you want to test your theory, you can use something like FDCsoft task manager to end the lumous.exe process and see if it gets any better. As far as uninstalling it you can't because it's cooked in, but you coul go into the Windows folder and delete the program I suppose.

Thanks, I might try a re-flash -- I'm also having an issue with the screen going completely black (usually during a phone call). The phone is still clearly on, but there's just no screen and only a restart gets it back. So, maybe my flash was bad (and yes, I did flash to shipped before flashing this one).

Can you describe what's happening? I don't use MMS so I never include it in my personal ROMS but I can try to include it in the next public build. I'll just need testers for that part.

1. After I get a picture, the data connection turns itself on randomly
2. After I get a picture, it tries sending something but fails....even though I didn't send anything

I'll test!

Just an update for everyone...

I'm really trying to get an update built for the 2.5 however all the latest 6.5.x systems seem to have really annoying bugs and I don't feel comfortable releasing something less stable than the current build in the name of newness. I am testing new systems as they come out and as soon as I get one thats as stable or better than the current build I will post it. Just didnt want anyone to think I had abandoned thread or anything.

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Any update? Some of the changes in the latest OMJ 2.5 Sense seem worthwhile.

Also, have you looked at adding the Manila TV tab as an integrated part of the ROM? I assembled a huge list of stations that work with it (updated XML file and logo directory) and it takes up no memory room at all - currently running on it: MSNBC, CNN, Discovery (4 diff. Dicovery channels,) ESPN, FoxNews, Disney, TLC, ScyFy, Animal Planet, Cartoon Network, Oxygen, Bravo, Nasa, C-Span, CBS, History channel, A & E, Entertainment Tonight, The Weather Channel, Speed Network, Bloomberg, CNBC, BBC World, USA, CBS, NBC, ABC, lots more.

i think the only drawback to manila tv is that u need to know how to "update" it with the right channels...

The Manila TV cab creates a tab that replaces the Footprints tab.

Once installed a ManilaTV xml file is placed in the Applications/ManilaTV folder, alongside a logos folder. I have created a large xml file (which contains the links to the streams) as well as a large accompanying logo folder. Those need to be cooked in. Manila TV works with any player/viewer, so I mixed it up a bit, with some of the links using windows media player, others using Coreplayer, and yet a few more using the Skyfire browser. Both the Coreplayer (alternatively the TMPC player could be used) and Skyfire browser are in my /Internal Storage so as not to use any actual data memory.

Problem: 77 of the links I have are Mob i TV links, basically the entire catalogue of stations they have available, including news, documentary, music, and TV show stations.

Not sure if you recall, but there was some big deal about openly distributing their stuff previously, threats, all that jazz:

Not sure if I have the appetite for that. If the links can't be taken out of a cooked ROM and then thrown all over the place, that would be ok with me, I would leave those links in there. But, if they can't then these links would be accessible, distributed, and changed quickly by them, rendering them worthless to me in one fell swoop.

So, I have worked out another manilatv.xml file that takes those particular links out, but still has quite a number of excellent links (more than 60 stations in total.)

I'll probably PM you with my material later tonight, so you can try it out and let me know what can be done about the issue of those links, which I would rather not lose to being changed in a few days because they can easily be taken.

Ok cool, I think I have a good working EXT now so with your xml files I may be able to get it working nicely. I read the stuff about Mobi and I'd say it wont be long before they change the links you have since they have backed off the legal side of it. But I'll keep looking into it.
