Well I just ran Google maps again for a few minutes after a hard reset, and it seems to be back to normal. Is there nothing a hard reset can't cure?

I had left it running continuously on googlemaps tracking me as I traveled for about 2 hours, and it was working fine immediately before the problem started. Although the unit was feeling pretty hot on the lower backside.

Right now Im letting the unit cool down assuming it was the heat. Anyone ever had an issue with the phone over heating and rebooting on them?

EDIT:
I let the phone cool down, but it's still rebooting itself. It was just sitting with the screen off, and i saw it turn itself on, and then freeze and reboot.

Going to hard reset :/
Interesting, I'm having the very same problem...just started this evening. Phone resets when using Google maps and I get the "no gps device" message using TT7. This occurred with 2010 6.53, not the 2012. I did reflash shipped but the problem persists. Any ideas as to what's up with this?

I spoke too soon, the problem started again a few mins after I made the last post.

Phone gets a gps lock, then loses it after a few seconds, then reboots the phone half the time.

I did another hard reset and did not install any programs. I only enabled my location, and then ran Igo8, same problem happened again. So google maps wasn't even involved this time.

wow that is weird. same problem, different ROM versions, different carriers (I'm on Bell, you on sprint), different radios (im using 1.04.02 you use 1.04.05).

What's the common denominator?

For those having the soft reset GPS issues, try this: disable time updates from the cell towers (Start, Settings, Personal, Phone, Services, Time Synchronization), if you have it enabled. Then soft reset and update your Quick GPS. Also, make sure your time zone is correct. Now test out your GPS.

If the above does not fix the GPS problem, you can try a copy of my xtra.bin for Quick GPS (you will need to unzip it). First, disable updates in Quick GPS, then copy this xtra.bin to your \windows directory and soft boot. You can save your old one first if you want. This xtra.bin has a 02-22-10 PST date, so it may be off for members in other time zones or for those that use it tomorrow. To change the xbin date, do not use notepad, use a text editor like UltraEdit, and just open the xbin in the text editor and save it, then use the saved version on your Diamond. Again, do not forget to soft reset.

Hope this helps,
R

Re: OMJ's HTC Sense 2.5 & 2.1 ROMs | WM 6.5 / WM 6.5.x | 21055 / 21887 / 28014 | 2/17

I did a search for "text" because this is driving me nuts.

When I open a mms text converstation, the old messages scroll up the page until it finally gets to the most recent message. I can't type anything until it does this. If I've been texting someone a lot, it could take more than a minute of it scrolling down to the newest text.

How to I fix it so it just starts at the most recent one? On all the other ROMs I've used, it very appropriately starts shows the most recent message when I bring up the text messaging box.

I RTFF and I couldn't find anything about it. I'm on OMJ SENSE 2.1 21877

Thanks to all who restore my sanity.
