Re: |V|ROM|6.5.1|WWE| ** EnergyROM 'Photon' (23081/21864) ** | Oct 25th | Manila 2.1

so why does the 10.22 ROM drain the battery so quickly?? the 10.25 rOM seems to have better battery life...

anyone find a good way to increase battery life?

one things to look at, go into settings>system>power>backlight, change it to auto. I think he has the settings at maximum brightness by default which will drain your battery big time.

Install Lumos. I've heard mixed accounts, but you could try changing the frequency of battery polling (check the front page, under "Tweaks"). Play around with different radios. That will usually make the biggest difference. Also, read through this thread.

Ok, so I thought that this might work if I replaced the HTCMsgEnhance stuff from this rom, with the ones from the 9/6 version... IT WORKED! No more freezing! Just turn off TouchFlo, use Total Commander to copy them to the Windows folder, overwriting the previous ones, soft reset, enable TouchFlo, and freeze-ups are gone!

EDIT: Removed files. It stopped working after about an hour and a half. Back to the drawing board.

I've attached the stuff from the 9/6 ROM, in case anyone needs it. I'm not sure which file made it work. I just copied the all.

Hey, you gave me the idea. I never would have figured it out on my own. I'm just glad there's no more freezing!

One thing I noticed, before I got it fixed, was that every once in a while, when I would be typing a message, those little pop-up letters wouldn't come up when I would hit a key(if anyone has any idea what I'm talking about). When this happened, I could type for as long as I wanted without any freeze-ups. But when I was typing a message and the enlarged letters would come up, it would lag like crazy. Just an observation.

it stops for a while... but just as what i did it doesn't last as long as i wanted it to... i can't tell why but the freezing issue keeps coming back to me.
i tried to shut off tflo using advanced config... and actually not freezing now... i hope it will last forever now... otherwise... ill need to go and cook me a rom. this freezing issue is a deal breaker.

Yeah, it just stopped for me too. Dang it. It's weird, because after I replaced the files, I could just type and type for as long as I wanted, and it wouldn't freeze up at all. But now it's freezing again. Oh well. Looks like it's time to install the WM Messaging hack again.
