im running the maxmanila and so far its problem free.
ringer is working as well

one question:
-this has nothing to do with this rom but lately since i have jumped into the obsesion of flasshing my phone i noticed that google maps can only pin point my location to wihin 2.5km or 2500meters. basically useless is this a result of using custom roms? OR is the gps need tweeking i see the gps programs but have no clue what they are supposed to do.

open menu, and scroll down to the end of the list, and u will see "Use GPS" tap that, and you should see searching for satellites till it locks then it will have a more accurate location.

I think I remember somebody mentioning this, but I can't seem to find it again. Is there a way to limit how many messages are displayed on the messaging sub-tab within a contact in 2.5? Load times get pretty ridiculous when there are a few hundred messages in the thread...

i don't think it can be done in that version of messaging... only in classic mode(which is 2.1 mod).

My workaround: archive text messages to MS My Phone site more often than I otherwise would.

Can you archive without syncing? I want to dump text messages onto MyPhone but not pull them back off.

Yeah, but that gets to be such a hassle. I wish there was a way to just show maybe 5 of the texts, rather than ALL of them.

That's why I gave up on MyPhone. The first time I used it, I archived over 3,000 texts. Now it wants to download all of them first, then reupload everything. It takes forever.
