It looks like the TouchPro ROM is still manila 2.1, so it doesn't look like we lowly VGA users are going to get to see a 2.5 release. Oh well.

yep, unfortunately it hasn't been completed ported over yet to vga. it took several months for a fully working tachi dialer so 2.5 may take a long time. 2.1 works great though

You're right, it's not stable. the one we got to test was very beta and has since been taken down. I am more than happy to use 2.1 but would love to see 2.5 come to fruition.

No signs of life yet . . . He is just teasing us now.

On a side note, I'd really like it if some progress was made in porting Android 1.6 to the CDMA Diamond. The HTC Vogue (Sprint Touch) is already running a near perfect version of the Hero ROM. Not fair!

ok...but this is a thread about the EnergyROM, not android.

But to anwser your question, the Vogue has a chipset that closely resembles the g1 chipset, hence a easy port and near full fuctionality.
The Diamond/TP has a comparable chipset as well. However, the Touch Diamond/Pro chipset is not a chipset that is completely compatiable with andriod, which is why it works, but not well. There is a thread on the general diamond forum and xda on porting/installing andriod to the diamond/tp.
