hey, thought id throw my two cents in.
im guessing if you flashed a rom and it messed up your radio settings, its a possibility that you may be able to fix it by flashing a new radio.

as far as data goes... im not sure off the top of my head but theres some place in the menus where you specify how or where it dials to for data..some #777 or something. Im sure there is a forum on this site somewhere. may have to do some searching

sorry i havent given any definite answers for you, but as others have said, i dont think too many ppl have an idea.

Depends completely on your location. I havent noticed that big of a difference at all between 1.11.00f, 1.12.34f, 1.04.05v, etc. Only thing recently that changed was 1.12.34f seemed to work better with gps but other than that, flip a coin

there is no definitive answer to your question. Some have experienced better performance using another radio. But in my personal experience, it doesn't make a difference. for a while, I would flash to the telus radio almost every time. The telus radio does get alot of good feedback from the users. I guess what I am saying is changing the radio will not give you a major performance bump, unless in rare circumstances people will claim it to be the case. I just haven't experienced it where I live. It could be that certain radio will perform better in fringe service areas. I may buy that. Here is a thread with radios and user feedback by location.

I've used quite a few over the last few years... the Sprint 1.12.34 radio seems to be doing quite well by me. Could be my imagination (no empirical data), but my Diamond seems to run cooler and use less battery. I also notice better GPS accuracy.
