Thanks for an answer

Both the manual hard reset (with stylus- NOT recommended; using Clear Storage [1234;YES] -RECOMMENDED] will erase all information in ROM, NOT Internal Storage (unless you select that option in Clear Storage).

i just installed Sashimi and i did another clear storage , no luck

i wouldn't worry about Sashimi, i am probly one of the few that don't use it

but after plugging the battery then doing a soft reset things are running smoother Trident. i will playing around some more.

but i must say so far so good

things i setup so far:

Hotmail working fine
Microsoft my phone working, restored my contacts
weather setup fine

So you are able to get it loaded?
I wonder if you are missing anything with the customizations not running correctly...
Tell me what ringtones and notification sounds are available... Do you have a ringtone called "Goulet- your phone" and a notifcation called "gotmailSP"?

This ROM has all the MS Office apps included. I think the only one that I couldn't get to work correctly with the kitchen is OneNote. There are cabs floating around for it.... I'll try to find one.
Hmmm. Looks like I have OneNote because of Office2007 installed on my PC. I haven't been able to find a cab or anything for just that.

Re: [ROM] PowerROM v2.3.5- Titanium ONLY [build 21725]- NO Manila [Sprint & Generic]

Anybody else having trouble with ActiveSync taking forever to connect with WM6.5? I've tried a couple 6.5 roms, now using PowerROM 2.5.4, and with all of them it takes a copule minutes to connect. Just says "connected' for a long time, before finally connecting and syncing.

Before trying each ROM I've done the clear storage, then flash to the shipped ROM, then flashed to the new rom, with a couple extra clear storages done in between for good measure.

I just found a bigger problem. My headphones don't work. The notification pops up that says "stereo headset connected" but the sound plays out of the speaker instead of the headphones. Which means I can't use it for music at work. :( Anybody else with this problem??

Possibly. First, you are using the Sprint ROM and have Sprint service, correct? [Sorry, I just need to make sure.] Make sure you are NOT connected using ActiveSync. For some reason, when A/S is connected, I can't update anything or get email. I can access the internet. It's strange, but it's happened on all the 6.5 ROMs that I've used.
I don't think you should need to use update Profile... nothing should have changed on your data provisioning. As for PRL... if that's not working, try to do it manually with your MSL. ##775# Newest PRL attached. ---- FYI, I haven't had this issue. Update PRL has worked flawlessly for me. Just for giggles, I ran Update Profile and Update PRL- both ran and completed without issue.

I've found that it sometimes stays that way forever. I just disconnect and reconnect the USB cord and it always syncs very quickly the second time. No idea why, but you're right, it does happen on all the ROMs I've tried as well. I wonder how they work with Vista/W7 and WMDC?

i never tried using the Radar... I know everything else works.
Just tried. Definitely not working. I'll be honest, I have no idea how to fix that.
I'll be building a new version this weekend- I'll see if there are any comments about that and if there are any fixes. I am using 4.1.5 weather instead of 4.2 because I didn't like the new SPIL icons they started using. Maybe I'll have to suck it up if 4.2 includes a fix for radar.

Why don't you guys upload your oems for me to look at. Radar works just peachy for me. I think sals tried mine though, not sure why it wouldn't work. BTW, you can just easily swap the icons.

No, this ROM was created using indagroove's kitchen and his base says that in the about screen.
As for PIMBackup... I thought that I included it... but I might not have.
It's attached here for you if it's not there. I'll have a new ROM up by the end of the day with it included! [v2.6.4 uploading now]

inda- I just noticed that one of the root folders on my device has a name of " . " It's the first one listed after "My Windows Mobile-Based Device". Any ideas?
[The ROM I just flashed has the correct menu structure with no anomalous folders. Just a little ghost in the machine.]

Confirmed. I'd guess it has something to do with the new dialer that's installed. I just switched to the WM6.5 dialer, just to see if it made a difference. It didn't.
I'll see what can be done for the next build. If nothing else, I know there are some apps that can be installed to access the EPST functions directly. I do know that the Update PRL and Update Profile (DATA) apps that are included in the ROM work fine.
I'm updating my RadioROM to see if that makes a difference. I don't think it will, but can't hurt to check.

Trident - this is a great implementation of Groove's rom. Everything's smooth. I'm on Telus but the Sprint seems to work pretty good so far. I'll try generic when you get that out.

I like the double sized Titanium launchers, and the fact you included a program launcher... but it is harder navigating especially when you're close to the top or bottom. It's difficult to "bounce" off the top and bottom. Anyways, thanks.

Only CABS I like to add to it are Total Commander, CleanRam and Audio Booster

Cheers

It's definitely a trade-off with the Titanium getting bigger. It's a trade I'm willing to make.
Only reason I don't add those cabs is that I use Resco Explorer & MemMaid. What does Audio Booster do? I never even looked at that- I don't do much audio listening except at the gym.

The audio boost CAB increases the speaker volume and I believe, (but haven't tested, cause I never use) the earphone volume too. Great for when I have to listen to voice mail messages from my home phone which get sent to me as email attachments.

Those panels are the result of having the WM7 Titanium Project installed.
I'd think that the only way to change that would be to install another theme on top of that one. I looked, and there is no way to uninstall that theme since it was put there as part of the ROM building process. I suppose it would be possible to build a ROM without it... but I like the way it looks. Maybe I'll try one without it sometime this week. I've found some other themes that I also like and might try them as well.

I got frustrated with some of the stuff that was happening and did a build yesterday without the Tachi dialer (and therefore without the extraneous BT notification) and with the Audio Booster. I'm going to play with it a bit today and post it if all works out well tomorrow morning (or late tonight).

Trident, been using your rom for 3 days now and am loving it. This is the first 6.5 rom i've used and only the second flashed on (used rstguys 6.1-which was great). This rom has had great battery life and as i have gotten used to 6.5 it become easier to use. Most functions are much quicker tho with text messages the menu, action and touch screen seem to take more time than the other roms i have used. Haven't had as much time to play as i would have liked but am looking forward to any updates. I have read a lot of these posts and i appreciate your enthusiam. Keep up the good work.

Thanks, I really appreciate the input. I must admit that I thought that very few people were using this ROM... I love it and I'm glad others are getting some benefit.
I'll be putting together an update this weekend with the new 21815 SYS and including everything I've got on the ROM I've been using the last few days. I've switched back to an older dialer after removing the Tachi dialer and made a few other little changes. It's running great so far. I'm also using some files that fix the SMS sluggishness.
