Apr 30, 2009 Update -

I have a pretty good base set up for people to test with. Thanks to IndaGroove for his kitchen to look at and compare. I've got a lot of the Packages in the EXT folder now and fixed some problems with some of them. I also downloaded SYS 21215 from Da_G's kitchen tonight and included it in the kitchen.

This is still a work in progress and still is in Alpha status. I've been seeing pretty good results from this new kitchen so far though. There is a ton of testing to do still.

thanks for the kitchen, seems to be working pretty well for me.

i'm finally learning how to import packages, we'll see if they work or not...

Thanks, I got farther on this than I did with any of the previous kitchens. However, while I was able to create a bootable rom, the touchscreen drivers don't appear to have loaded... i'm stuck on the touch here to start screen, but it's not locked up because pshutxp works... anyone experienced this before?

I can even make phone calls by hitting the call button (goes to voicemail), but can't get it past the tap to set up your wm phone screen

Not sure what's going on there. I've been running a 21501 ROM for a few days built in this kitchen with no touchscreen issues. I've just started playing with 21215 and have found a few minor bugs (WMA's won't play in notifications, but all other sound files work) which I'm working on right now. I should have a new kitchen ready to upload tonight. I've upgraded the kitchen to ervius's 7.0 kitchen as well. I may even have 21502 working in it too (just downloaded it from Da_G's kitchen as well).

yeah i built a rom this morning w/this kitchen, no touchscreen issues for me either.

even managed to import some of my favorite OEM's as packages! thanks again daryel!

- May 1, 2009 update

Added 21502 SYS, it's still untested. Use at your own risk.

Fixed a couple of problems in 21215 - WMA's now play for notifications and replaced the Lockscreen files with those from a 2119x release. The later Lockscreen files Microsoft is leaking seem to lockup the phone more and have issues.

Kitchen updated to ervius 7.0 VisualKitchen. This adds LZW compression to reduce your ROM size and should enable more RAM. I never have a problem with free RAM so I have not played with this (yet!).

Updated kitch_build_rom.bat file so you can put a boot_ms.rgu file in the ROM/%DEVICE% (ROM/DIAMOND) folder and it will insert it into the ROM. This customizes the AKU for your ROM so that it reads CE OS 5.2.21xxx (Build 21xxx by ???????).

I got stuck on alignment screen as well with the april 30 kitchen. I was in a hurry and could have changed something important to false using your no manila 21215 erv file. I'll try again tonight with your most recent. Thanks for the work daryelv.

Edit - Well, everything works if I just use the .erv file and don't make any changes. I'm guessing it's not as easy as changing things I don't want to False

Do Opera and YouTube work on any of your builds of 21215 or 21502? I haven't tried the kitchen you uploaded, but I've been fighting both of these builds plus other bugs in multiple kitchens, including my own base with the visual kitchen. I know other chefs are having issues too. What have your experiences been?

In the kitchen I had up, iexplore and Youtube were working but Opera wouldn't load (I've been using iexplore instead of Opera so I never noticed). I got Iexplore and Opera to work now, but the sound is missing in Youtube.
