As far as backing up emails and email account settings I have no working answer yet. I use PIM Backup for backing up my opera settings -
\windows\opera9\secure\wand.dat for the saved usernames and passwords,
\windows\opera9\opera6.adr for bookmarks/favorites
I keep all my ringtones on the internal storage in my documents\my ringtones\ so i don't have to keep copying them over every flash.

1. assuming I have no idea about an sdconfig file (do i create that file, do I edit it to say what I want it to say etc..., how do i handle that?

also I was under the impression that I had to clear all of my internal storage to reflash (as part of a hard reset) so wouldn't that clear your ringtones over there? (the only ringtone I care about is my NFL on Fox mp3, its such an awesome ringtone)

2. how do I reflash to a stock 6.1?

well you may as well reflash to the new rom, then you will probably see it.

Sdconfig.txt is a file that you create on the root directory of your internal storage that has a series of commands to run. ROM's that support UC (user customization), SDAutorun, and SASHIMI all will use this feature (I'm sure there's others, but those are the one off the top of my head). Mine has it but I didn't advertise it - its just an oem added to the rom. As far as clearing internal storage goes, its only something to do in an extreme case, flashing back to and older rom seems to work most of the time.

And as far as flashing a stock 6.1 rom goes, I use conflippers rom from 11-28-08, and I don't bother going thru the customizations on that flash - once it makes it to the "tap the screen to setup device" screen, I flash to whatever 6.5 rom. The key seems to be flashing a pre 21xxx rom, so just find an old rom for your carrier, or an old generic rom. I also only do that flash once every few times.

Also, it looks like all of the files in the sdconfig are the install files, so does it basically just reinstall the cabs for you or what?

ok so lemme get this straight.

1 - I back up my stuff with sdconfig

2 - I flash to any 6.1 rom I can find

3 - I flash to you new beta rom that you just posted (voice command, tf3d etc...)

4 - I install my dcd carrier cab

You can do more with the sdconfig, but I'm just using it to reinstall cabs for me.
1 - make an sdconfig.txt for reinstalling all your programs/cabs

I have this, one questions, is there a way to integrate the Facebook stuff and text/email/calls in with the contacts? like in Rhodium i guess ...

looking forward to this rom but when i flashed it i get an error saying i have the wrong model ..i have a tp from alltel with meridians new rom . any ideas?
