Hey I got a quick question, I have Alltel, as this is sprint specific I assume I need the alltel carrier cab. If I installed it would this work on Alltel? Also do I install the cab before and after the flashing? Thanks in advance everyone

I can't say what kind of results you might get, and I probably won't be able to help you if you have problems... that's why I post that it is Sprint specific.

You are welcome to try it, though, and we would be happy to hear your results.

On a side note, for anyone who is interested, or wondering... I have been, and will continue to evaluate 6.5 systems as they are released. I will not incorporate 6.5 (or a new 6.1 sys, for that matter) until I feel it is an overall better option than the sys that we are currently using.

I like keeping things updated, but I also want to offer what I feel is the best available option, not just what is the newest. The 6.5 systems seem to be progressing rather nicely, and I will keep an eye on them.

Same goes for app updates, etc...

hey Bonz.

Jumping into the fray. Looking forward to flashing this rom! I assume I can add one of the stock HTC keyboards to this rom? Also, what version of Ie is cooked in? Looking forward to trying the facebook app and Kinoma. How does it stack up to tcpmp? Just curious.

Thanks, Riley... looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the rom. You can add any keyboard you want that is cab installable. IE version is whatever is in Calc's latest kitchen... I honestly can't even remember... I never touch it.

I think you will find that Kinoma is a lot more polished than TCPMP. TCPMP may support more codecs than the free version of Kinoma. I really don't have much trouble with compatibility though. Try it out and see what you think. You can always add TCPMP from a cab if you want to have it to compliment Kinoma. And the YouTube feature in Kinoma is to die for, IMO.

Unrelated... I have added some new stuff to the third reserved space at the beginning of the thread, as well as a monster at the end of the book.

question. I already flashed and followed the shipped rom method but noticed it was 1.06 rather than 2.00 based. Should I use the original shipped rom instead of the new one? Not sure if it really makes that big of a difference but wanted to know.
